SINCE Xbox announced that there would be large changes to how Game Pass works, there have been complaints about the game offerings.
Xbox announced price increases and the replacement of Xbox Game Pass for Console with Xbox Game Pass Standard in July.
Ultimate and Standard players will get more games this month[/caption]
Since then, instead of the usual six to ten games that were added each month, people were only receiving two or three.
Even then, the few games that were added were only for Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass for PC subscribers.
Xbox seems to have responded to people’s complaints as at the start of October Xbox added nine new games, including six for Standard subscribers.
This month there are eight new games for Ultimate and PC subscribers, including three games for Standard subs.
Two Call of Duty games will be added to XCloud though they are already available to download.
There are some excellent games available even for Standard subscribers, but the biggest game of the month is obviously Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Even if you’re not a Call of Duty fan, there are still some great games you try out later this month.
Donut County is a critically-acclaimed indie game that asks you to hoover up increasingly large objects.
It’s like the opposite of Katamari where you roll up larger and larger objects until you reach your goal.
There is also the excellent South Park: The Fractured But Whole which puts the South Park characters in a turn-based RPG.
The Fractured But Whole and Donut County, as well as action RPG Ashen are coming to all Game Pass subscription plans.

- StarCraft II: Campaign Collection – (PC) *Ultimate and PC only
