What Did Diddy Do – 5 Alleged Crimes of Sean Combs That Have Tarnished His Legacy Forever

In the weeks since Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, the world has been firing on all cylinders due to the bad rap that the federal charges against him have brought. Despite being one of the most high-profile artists, a talented rapper, and a mega businessman, his arrest was not a shocking incident. In retrospect, the industry always seemed prepared for it.

From his beginning in the early ’90s to his current condition, Sean Combs’ impact can be felt in the very fabric of the music industry. However, the criminal charges filed against him by the Grand Jury that makes fans and contemporaries shudder in disdain is a lengthy and complicated one.

Abuse and Assault:

The indictment against P. Diddy engaged in a detailed elaboration of the music mogul’s violent relationship with women. He allegedly used his position to force, fraud, or coerce women into a relationship, threatening to ruin their careers in music, and intimidating them with financial and reputational harm.

Within a few months of a lawsuit filed by Diddy’s former girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, several female victims came forward with allegations of their own. The reports alleged that the rapper engaged in a pattern of physical, emotional, verbal, and s*xual abuse toward these women, who were often confined in his hotel or residence to prevent them from fleeing or pressured to stay silent from law enforcement by using incriminating videos obtained illegally.

One such incident of abuse has been caught on video (obtained and released by CNN) when he charged after Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway, where he is shown violently grabbing, shoving, and kicking her in the process.

S*x Trafficking:

Diddy’s infamous freak-offs – wherein he “manipulated women to participate in highly orchestrated performances of s*xual activity with male commercial s*x workers” – made the list of Grand Jury charges brought down against him.

As per the indictment, Sean Combs used his business and associates to transport s*x workers across state lines as well as internationally. The charges also stated that he used his position and authority to “intimidate, threaten, and lure female victims into his orbit” and manipulate them into a forced romantic relationship before arranging said freak-offs that were then recorded on video.

The singer allegedly also performed acts of s*xual gratification at the expense of unwilling participants in his infamous freak-offs, in which situations the women and s*x workers were constantly supplied with controlled substances “to keep the victims obedient and compliant.”

Racketeering Conspiracy (2008-Present):

One of the more broad spectrum charges against Diddy in his federal indictment implicated his business organization, collectively called the Combs Enterprise (comprising of Bad Boy Records, a recording studio, an apparel line, an alcoholic spirits business, a marketing agency, and a television network and media company) in charges of s*x trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, prostitution, arson, narcotics, bribery, and obstruction of justice.

Distribution of Narcotics:

Diddy’s business enterprise – which has since then been termed as a criminal organization in the Grand Jury indictment – is allegedly involved in the possession of and intent to distribute drugs, including cocaine, oxycodone, and ketamine among others. Law enforcement confiscated huge supplies of said drugs during their raid on his Miami and California residences.

Prostitution:

Among the various charges brought down against Diddy and Combs Enterprise, prostitution makes a repetitive appearance in the indictment. The allegations state that the rapper (along with his associates) engaged in the exploitation of women and commercial s*x workers.

In the Grand Jury allegations, Diddy is charged with aiding and abetting and willfully causing the transportation of female as well as commercial s*x workers on multiple occasions across the state and international borders with the intent to engage in prostitution.

Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested at a New York hotel by federal agents on counts of racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking, and transportation for the purposes of prostitution on September 16, 2024. On September 17, 2024, Diddy pleaded not guilty to every charge made against him in a federal court in Manhattan, New York.
