These features are quite similar to those of Helldivers 2, which raises suspicions about it being too similar to Space Marine 2. The similarity between the two games stems from both games sharing similar key elements of the third-person shooter genre, set in a dark, futuristic, military sci-fi universe.
Both the games encourage cooperative gameplay and large-scale combat against aliens and monstrous foes. However, given the similarities between the two, both games belong to completely different universes with no overlap in the lore.
