Passengers in Scotland this morning are facing another day of delays and cancellations as a signal fault near Glasgow still hasn’t been fixed.

The fault, located between Partick and Glasgow’s Charing Cross, was first reported at around 7am on Thursday, but Network Rail haven’t been able to repair the problem.

Almost 24 hours later and it’s predicted the disruption caused could last until midday on Friday – unwelcome news for commuters.

It’s affecting several ScotRail services which run between Partick and Glasgow Queen Street, with trains potentially cancelled, delayed or revised.

Network Rail has apologised and say ‘we know how frustrating this is’ as they try to come up with a fix.
