Fans know that Buggy is a major character in One Piece, for whom Eiichiro Oda might have a lot more in store.
In the final saga of One Piece, Buggy has been revealed to be a Yonko. And while fans are assigning it to his incredible luck, Buggy might just prove he is worthy of the position by gaining Conqueror’s Haki.
Why Buggy Might Get More Attention in One Piece Soon
First of all, you need to remember that Buggy was with the Roger Pirates since age 9, just like Ace. The Pirate King might have seen his potential and onboarded him, or he could have been another unfortunate case like Shanks, but his past is not clear yet. However, each and every member of the Roger Pirates is extremely strong, and Buggy is no exception.
Despite being defeated by Luffy in the initial phase of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda has kept him around, and fans get regular updates on him. Buggy Might Awaken Conqueror’s Haki Instead of Sanji
One Piece fans are eagerly awaiting another Straw Hat to awaken Conqueror’s Haki, and the prime candidate is Sanji. However, Sanji is already an extremely powerful character who has gone miles without the help of a Devil Fruit. While awakening Conqueror’s Haki is deserving of the character, Buggy might beat Sanji to it.
A fan theory suggests that Buggy could awaken this rare Haki from a place of pure desperation, just like Ace and Luffy. Ace first demonstrated the ability to use Conqueror’s Haki when he rendered the Bluejam Pirates unconscious due to an outburst of rage at an early age of 10. It wasn’t until much later that he gained knowledge of this power. The Supreme King Haki was also latent in Luffy, and he had used it multiple times in desperation before Rayleigh could teach him about it.
Buggy might be able to awaken the power but might not be able to use it or control it at will. It would be similar to Luffy, who also needed training from Rayleigh. Buggy could be in need of training to control his newly awakened powers.
