Living in the limelight and having every bit of your life displayed to the public is extremely challenging, and Angelina Jolie has faced some of the worst of it over the last few years. Getting together with Brad Pitt had the entire world gushing over their relationship. But not every celebrity icon is perfect and not all high-profile relationships are built to last because of it.
After dating Pitt for nearly a decade, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith duo got hitched in 2014. But two years after getting married and parenting six children together, Jolie called it quits after a controversial incident that took place on a plane (via PEOPLE). Jolie and Pitt have been battling it out ever since and things have seemingly taken a toll on the Hollywood heartthrob lately.

Over the years, Angelina Jolie earned the reputation of being one of the most beautiful women in the world. However, the struggle she faced over the years dealing with a divorce from Brad Pitt and trying to keep it together for her children reportedly took a toll on her appearance (via Life & Style Magazine).
Jolie has been actively doing press runs for her upcoming film, Maria, which depicts the life of the incredible Maria Callas, popularly known as the greatest opera singer ever. An insider told Life & Style Magazine that she’s had a few upgrades done to her body.
She’s such a beauty and looks great at 49 for the most part… But clearly she’s had a ton of new work done in time for all the publicity for Maria.
The insider revealed that the court battle involving Pitt has “taken a toll” on her and that she looked “quite frail and gaunt” a couple of months ago. They further added,
She had a tune-up… and not just lip injections, but likely Botox and other fillers. But this renovation is getting mixed reviews and causing double takes of the worst kind.
Back in 2010, Jolie opened up about plastic surgery to The Daily Mail saying that she would never go ahead with it (via Life & Style Magazine). However, this sudden change of mind does seem odd but it makes sense as long as she feels happy and comfortable in her own skin.
An op-ed published by the New York Times revealed that Jolie chose to have a double mastectomy after discovering she had the BRCA1 gene. The Girl, Interrupted star made this decision to lower the risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer (via Life & Style Magazine).
Angelina Jolie has moved on from the Brad Pitt lawsuit
Since filing for divorce, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been battling it out for finances and custody over their children. It was the reported abuse she faced from Pitt in front of their children while they were on a plane that triggered their split in 2016.
She claimed that Pitt verbally and physically abused her during the plane ride, and she filed for divorce six days later. Somewhere down the line, the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services closed the case after finding zero evidence of Pitt’s abuse (via PEOPLE).
In 2022, Jolie filed an anonymous request under the name “Jane Doe” to acquire FBI documents that contained reports of the incident that took place days before she filed for divorce. But now, a source told PEOPLE that she had withdrawn from the lawsuit to focus on what lies ahead.
Being stuck in the past is not anything that Angie wants. She wants to focus on her family, work, and the future. These are all things that make her happy.
Additionally, the actress will also be making her return to the silver screen after a three-year-long hiatus. Maria will be her first project since last appearing in Marvel’s Eternals in 2021.
Maria will be released on November 27, 2024, in the United States after which it will debut on Netflix on December 11, 2024.
