However, a more recent video saw the cleaning whizz reveal a helpful and purse-friendly trick for clearing drains using cupboard essentials.

She asked her followers: “Blocked drains? Try this! Nothing drives me crazy like blocked bathroom drains.

”I discovered this great hack to clean them naturally and it works a charm! Best part? It’s so simple and quick to do.”

Judy instructed social media users to pour one cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by two cups of white vinegar.

She said: “I wouldn’t get too bogged down by measurements – just make sure it’s a 1:2 ratio.”

According to Judy, you should then “see a fizz in the sink as the baking soda reacts with the vinegar” – and once that’s done, ”cover it immediately with a cloth and leave it for 10-15 minutes to work its magic”.

Next, the savvy mum advised: “Put some hot / boiling water down the drain to flush it through.

”You can just use the hot tap although I used the kettle here.”

Finally, Judy told her fanbase to squeeze some lemon juice down the drain – this will eliminate any lingering odours.

“This is great for any drains in the house when you have a spare lemon and think of it.”

Raving over the affordable hack, she wrote in the caption: “It’s so easy! Let me know if you try it.”

Numerous fans were quick to praise the tip, as one said: ”Such a great hack!”

Another echoed, saying: “Love this tip!”

A third chimed in, commenting: ”Wow thanks for the tip. I discovered the baking soda trick to eliminate bad drain odour.

However, it’s worth noting that there were also words of caution were, as someone advised: “Never put boiling water down drains, ruins the pipes!”

This is also supported by the experts at WP Plumbing who said:  “Regularly subjecting your kitchen pipeline to boiling water will only soften or melt its joints (usually held together with glue).

”Over time, the water pipes will deteriorate and leak, requiring immediate repairs or replacement.”
