The light-colored soda has become a Halloween season staple for Mountain Dew over the last five years.

While Voo-Dew is a yearly release, each variation comes with a different and mysterious flavor profile.

The sodas will come in individual 20-ounce bottles and packs of 12.

The price for both Voo-Dew and Voo-Dew Zero should be between $2.19 and $6.49.

Availability and pricing may vary by location.

The fresh release has not gone down well with fans, with some offering some eyebrow-raising comparisons.

“It’s nasty,” one fumed.

A second added: “Tastes like gym socks.”

Others speculated which sweet inspired this year’s flavored beverage.

“I tasted strawberry, I am guessing Starburst,” a third guessed.

A fourth chimed in: “Tastes like Gobstoppers to me.”

GELAT-NO

Meanwhile, Taco Bell diners have slammed the chain’s new Baja Blast gelato.

The Mountain Dew-flavored frozen dessert first debuted on Taco Bell menus last year.

This year is the 20th birthday of the Baja Blast soda, and the taco spot is celebrating by taking the gelato flavor nationwide.

Fans could order exclusively through the app starting September 3.

The gelato was extremely hard to snag, as the company distributed just 288 servings to each participating location.

How can I preserve my pumpkin to keep it fresh?

  1. Choose a fresh pumpkin: “Choose a pumpkin that’s firm with no soft spots, cuts, or bruises. A healthy pumpkin will last longer.”
  2. Handle the pumpkin gently: “Be careful when handling your pumpkin to avoid any damage that could lead to bacteria entering any cracks or gaps.”
  3. Clean and dry the pumpkin: “Before carving, wipe the outside of the pumpkin with a damp cloth, and make sure to dry it well to prevent mould from growing.”
  4. Don’t carve too early: Since carving speeds up decay, it’s best to wait at most two days before Halloween to carve your pumpkin.
  5. Apply vaseline to the carvings: “After carving, apply a thin coat of Vaseline to the cut edges to help retain moisture and prevent them from drying out.”
  6. Refrigerate overnight: “If possible, store your carved pumpkin in the fridge overnight before Halloween to slow down decomposition.”
  7. Store in a cool spot: “When not on display, store your pumpkin in a cool, dry area to avoid moisture and sunlight which can cause it to rot faster.”

Prices vary based on location.

Some of those who could get their hands on the gelato were disappointed.

Many said it was smaller than expected, and the flavor wasn’t strong enough.

“The flavor was just not there. Tasted as if Baja Blast was in the room when this was made,” wrote one disappointed diner on Reddit.

“Tastes like sugar water with a lemon-y type of aftertaste. Maybe I had my expectations set higher than I should have.”
