PATRICK Mahomes stunned the NFL world after trucking San Francisco 49ers star defender Malik Mustapha for a touchdown on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs two-time MVP spoke about the sequence after the team’s 28-18 road victory over the 49ers in Week 7.

During the fourth quarter, the Chiefs offense was on San Francisco’s 1-yard line on 4th-and-1.
Mahomes was in the shotgun, took the snap, and looked to his left to find Travis Kelce, who was being held.
Instead of passing to him, Mahomes took it upon himself to run up the middle and had the safety Mustapha in his way.
Mahomes then lowered his shoulder and sent Mustapha to the ground.
The 28-year-old scored the touchdown which gave the Chiefs a 21-12 lead.

After the game, Mahomes caught up with Fox NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews.
During the interview, she brought up his brutal hit of Mustapha, and Mahomes shared an admission about the play.
“I wasn’t even trying to run him over. I’m just trying to get in the end zone,” Mahomes said to Andrews.
“I’m a little heavy.
NFL fans were in hysterics over his postgame comment, with one writing, “Dad bod for the win.”
Mahomes is listed at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, but he is likely heavier.
The NFL star has gotten hit with jokes about his unathletic physique in the past.
Mahomes defended his body shape in an interview with TIME magazine in April, insisting “some padding” is important for an NFL quarterback.
“I definitely have the dad bod a little bit,” Mahomes told TIME.

“I’ll also say I have a great body for a quarterback. You’ve got to have some padding in there to take the hits that we take.”
The Chiefs are still unbeaten, with a 6-0 record, despite Mahomes’ less-than-stellar statistics for the season.
He has six passing touchdowns and eight interceptions, including two from Sunday.
Kansas City has relied on a defense that intercepted 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy three times.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will face the division rival Las Vegas Raiders next week.
