“Korea is infiltrating American music while China is taking over Hollywood”: Korean Record Label Taking Over $8.7B USA Music Industry During the Height of Diddy Scandal Raises Eyebrows

American music and artists have been taking the global stage for several years now. But gradually in the last decade or so, music fans have been indulging themselves in different genres. Now, groups like BTS and Blackpink are on the rise, breaking even the barriers of language. To make matters more interesting, now a major Korean record label has taken over the US market.

Hybe has been making several headlines in Korea, even giving some of the major music companies a run for their money. But now, they are ready to disrupt the American market as well, in the midst of the ongoing Sean “Diddy” Combs scandal no less.

Why Is Hybe Facing Massive Scrutiny in America?

Hybe, previously known as Big Hit Entertainment, was founded in 2005 by Bang Si-hyuk. And currently houses some of the most popular groups and singers in K-pop, such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN. While it had a slow start initially, slowly it became one of the most sought-after companies in South Korea. Even coming neck to neck with the top three record labels: JYP, SM, and YG Entertainment.

Now with Hybe America, the corporation is all set to take over America as well. According to an Instagram user named syncmoney, the company has made a series of bold moves that can definitely reshape, the US music and entertainment landscape.

From its first acquisition of Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings, to having top hip-hop artists like Migos and Lil Baby in their roaster. Hybe is surely leaving a long-lasting mark on America. But with this expansion, a double standard has also emerged by how such global business moves are being perceived in today’s time.

While American corporations have been investing heavily in markets abroad. But if a reverse situation happens, the narrative changes completely. The same which some of the users called out in the comments section of the above-mentioned post. User @jesi_lea_ryan added, “Hybe is amazing. From practically being bankrupt ten years ago to one of the biggest music companies in the world.”

A user named @prettyadree also commented, “So Korea is infiltrating American music while China is taking over Hollywood. Just GREAT.” Meanwhile, tarek_fares added to the speculation, saying, “Whoa they bought a majority share in Yahoo! They’re taking over the world!”

Another user @glowuppending_said, “It went from big 3 sm, jype and yg and now they want the American big 3. I love HYBE (BigHit).” Fans credit much of HYBE’s success to its founder, Bang Si-Hyuk (Bang PD), with vasilisa63 praising, “Bang PD is a genius! We all know that!”

Are Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Leaving Hollywood After the Diddy Drama?

After publicly supporting Danny Masterson in his trial, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have been facing the wrath of the public. While their image has been completely ruined, they also recently stepped down from Thorn. A non-profit organization created by Kutcher and his ex-wife Demi Moore to defend children facing s*xual abuse.

This controversy also paved the way for other troubles as well. And now the duo has found themselves in the midst of the Sean “Diddy” Combs controversy. An insider also revealed that the couple might say goodbye to Hollywood altogether and build a new life in Europe. In an interview via Yahoo! the source added:

Ashton’s so exasperated that once again he’s being dragged through the mud because of his past associations. (The insider further says) First it was Danny Masterson and now it’s Diddy, and it’s got him convinced that there are way better places out there to live than Hollywood. In his view the town is just a cesspool at this point. They had such a great time in Europe and in many ways the idea of moving there is topping their list right now because they figure that would be such a great place to live and raise their kids with a much more grounded lifestyle.

The only element stopping both Kunis and Kutcher from making this move is that their entire business as well as careers are based out of the US. While they are still navigating the right journey, he also has another location in his mind.

The source further added that the actor is also considering South Carolina as its closer, and their kids could have a normal life away from Hollywood. The actors are yet to confirm these statements.
