BUYING in bulk can be a good way to save money, making memberships at big-box stores worth the while.
One woman ventured to Sam’s Club for the first time to see if the bargains lived up to the hype.

In her viral video, TikTok user Shay Croft (@shaycroft) took her followers along for her first ever visit to the store.
She explained that she had recently purchased a membership and was “excited” to make use of it.
Shay picked up a variety of items in her shopping haul, including fresh produce groceries such as chicken breasts, cotton candy grapes, romaine hearts, honey crisp apples, oranges, and milk.
She also purchased non-perishable goods in bulk, including Kraft Mac & Cheese, Cap’n Crunch, a 36-pack of Mountain Dew, a threee-pack of Prego pasta sauce, and a 90-pack of Welch’s Fruit Snacks.
The TikToker even snagged a two-pack of Starbuck’s iced coffee and Nexxus shampoo and conditioner.
However, she revealed that the household aisle was were she noticed the biggest savings.
“I definitely saved on bigger household things,” Shay told her audience after returning to her car.
Her household supply haul consisted of a 95-pack of Cascade dishwasher tablets, Gain laundry detergent, paper plates, 600 plastic spoons, 600 plastic forks, a 152-pack of Ziploc bags, and toilet roll.
She revealed that she was still unsure about the price points for the fresh produce.
Shay also noted the overwhelming size of the store midway through her shop.
However, she was so impressed by her savings that she vowed to return with a game plan for her groceries.
“I think I just have to come back and get used to it because it was really chaotic and stressful,” she concluded.

“I have definitely saved money by going there! Especially on my drinks and toilet paper,” wrote one shopper.
