“Game was prolly buggy, broken”: Ubisoft Canceling Early Access For Assassin’s Creed Shadows Doesn’t Have to be a Bad News

Ubisoft has canceled the early access for Assassin’s Creed ahead of its release next year in February. The game is probably going through some changes at the moment, which might have caused some delays.

However, this necessarily does not have to be a bad thing for the game since it proves that Ubisoft is not ready to offer an unfinished project just yet. It is absolutely fine to take some time and work on it to make the game better.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled to be released next year in February. However, following the recent cancellation of the game’s early access edition, it is believed that the release date could be pushed a little further to make the game devoid of any flaws.

Ubisoft can not go wrong with this game; the mistakes of the past should not be repeated since it will not do the studio any good. The Assassin’s Creed franchise had derailed from its path a little in the past. Now this game should mark a new era for the franchise.

Some of the Assassin’s Creed titles from the past were not well received, and the same was acknowledged by Ubisoft as well. This time around, things seem to be a little different. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is quite a fresh addition to the franchise.

It is the first game from the franchise that is set in feudal Japan. It introduces two main characters; both will be playable and will have backstories of their own.

Ubisoft Has The Opportunity To Turn The Tide In Its Favour

Ubisoft has been criticized time and again for releasing buggy and broken games. It is infamous for doing so. However, things appear to be quite different this time around. It is not ready to even release early access without making it devoid of any flaws. This is one step towards betterment. Microsoft does not want to repeat the same mistakes again and again.

This attitude towards the game might prove to be beneficial in the future upon Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release in February 2025. Ubisoft might just turn the tide around in its favor by giving us an extremely well-designed and constructed Assassin’s Creed game.

If the studio feels the need for more time to complete the game, it should be fine with the players since it is being done in their interest. However, no official statements about a delay in release have been shared, and there is a high chance that it might not get delayed. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
