Disgusting Way in Which Jake E. Lee Was Removed Ozzy Osbourne’s Band Will Still Boil Your Blood After 37 Years

Jake E. Lee’s partnership with the musical genius Ozzy Osbourne was a monumental moment for the music industry. Together the duo gave numerous hits and established their legacy for years to come in the field of music.

However, fans might be shocked to discover the bizarre incident that ended the fruitful collaboration. Revealing the reason behind his end with Osbourne’s contract, the guitarist shocked viewers with the truth. Fans of the notable artist might be enraged upon learning of the unfortunate way the partnership was terminated.

The alleged reason behind his firing: Abrupt stop

Jake E. Lee was introduced to the mass audience when he signed on to collaborate with Ozzy Osbourne. The pair released several popular songs and blockbuster platinum albums like Bark At The Moon in 1984 and The Ultimate Sin in 1986.

The former Badlands member thought he had found a perfect home with the legendary musician and his wife Sharon Osbourne. Alas, it was not meant to be, and the artist was allegedly fired in 1987 just after their successful album.

Speaking to Louder Sound, E. Lee revealed that the incident that led to him receiving the news was confusing. Recalling memories, he stated that he had spent the day having lunch with Osbourne’s wife and knew nothing of his imminent firing.

That’s ridiculous. I just had dinner with Sharon and she never said anything like that.

However, on returning to his shared apartment his room-mate and guitar tech delivered the heavy blow. Rumors were swirling around of him being let go by Osbourne, which he initially didn’t believe.

Unfortunately, the musician’s wife and E. Lee’s good friend confirmed the dreaded news and his journey with Osbourne ended. The event left a sour taste in the artist’s mouth and he never quite understood the circumstances which led to his termination.

Repeated tensions and misunderstandings

Several interviews of the Red Dragon Cartel founder revealed that things weren’t so sunshine and rainbows with the bandmates. In an appearance on Eddie Trunk’s ‘Trunk Nation’ show (via Blabber Mouth), he spoke about his rocky experience of working on Bark At The Moon.

I was told from the get-go, ‘[If] you write part of the songs, you’ll get writing credit, you’ll get publishing. That’s part of your deal.’
I don’t have management, I don’t have a lawyer, I don’t have anything. Anyway… But they promise me, ‘You’ll get what’s coming.’

The former lead guitarist revealed that he had contributed to the writing part of the album and was guaranteed the credits for the same. However, he soon discovered he was side-lined and had to let go of his hard work.

This caused tensions between him and the Osbourne couple which made his working experience bitter. Later for his next album The Ultimate Sin, he allegedly refused to work without a legitimate contract. That event coupled with the strange circumstance of his termination might have tainted the artist’s greatest collaboration.
