Fabio Wardley returns from KOing Frazer Clarke to take out the bins and pop to Co-Op as he says ‘nothing changes for me’

FABIO WARDLEY had to clean up his rotten fridge after wiping out Frazer Clarke and the British heavyweight division.

Ipswich’s 29-year-old knockout sensation rematched the Olympic bronze winner on Saturday night in Riyadh and was supposed to be in a long and hard fight.

The win catapulted the former white-collar fighter into the heavyweight title picture[/caption]

Instead, the former white-collar slugger iced his respected opponent in a single savage round to make himself one of the hottest prospects in world boxing.

The sorry state 33-year-od Clarke was left in – nursing a dented skull and broken cheekbone that required Saudi surgery – meant Wardley had to cool his celebrations.

And after jumping on the 10am flight out of Riyadh, he was brought back to Earth when he found out his kitchen was full of manky grub instead of champagne.

The loveable Suffolk Puncher told SunSport: “Nothing changes for me, even though my missus and mum keep trying to tell me that things have changed now.

“I went to the same old lunch spot with my old friends on Tuesday that I have been going to for years.

“I even had to run to the Co-Op at about 9pm for bread and milk and bits and bobs that I needed for the house because everything had gone off while I was away.

“Tuesday night was bin day so I was out in the garden wheeling them out, nothing changes.

“I don’t have a butler, I am the same old normal guy and I will be at the football at the weekend and crack on with the lads like I usually do.

“I will keep it like this for as long as humanly possible.”

A facial surgeon explained that the damage Wardley’s final blow inflicted on Clarke was more similar to a brick attack than a boxing bout.

The 19-stone former bouncer was left stricken in a neutral corner with a deformed jaw and a shattered dream.

The biggest moment of Wardley’s career – most worthy of a wild celebration – suddenly became the most sombre and all of his excitement turned into genuine concern for his fallen foe.

The British champ explained: “I thought of his family in those moments because I had been somewhere similar.

“I was all mashed up in our first fight at the O2 but my mum and missus and family members were allowed in the back room just to see me and hear me tell them that I was fine and that they didn’t need to panic.

“He was away in a foreign country and his missus, kids and mum and dad were at home, watching on TV, not in touching distance and able to just reach out and console him.

“The objective is always to win, in good fashion if possible but it’s never to damage your opponent – in a potentially career-ending way – is never the objective.

“I haven’t spoken to Frazer but I sent him a direct message to say I hope he’s as well as he can be and thanked him for the 13 special rounds.”

The story behind how Charlie Webster uncovered Amanda Riley was faking her cancer diagnosis

BACK in 2020, a mom-of-two hit the headlines after it was revealed she’d faked having cancer in a bid to con donors out of thousands of dollars.

The woman who uncovered Amanda Riley’s terrible crime was investigative journalist, Charlie Webster.

In 2012, California native Amanda Riley started a blog where she opened up about “having cancer“.

However, it was all lies and was just the start of a seven year scam to manipulate her friends and family, as well as her local community.

Amanda used social media to pretend to her followers that she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

This disease is a rare cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of the body’s immune system.

By convincing her followers she had Hodgkin’s lymphoma, she was able to con them out of money by asking for donations for “treatment”.

Calling her blog “Support Amanda”, she filled the page with photos of herself from hospital beds looking really sick.

In some of the pictures she was seen hooked up to multiple IVs and she even went as far as shaving her head.

But none of it was true – it was all fake, and one big con to squeeze cash out of kind-hearted folk.

Uncovering the truth

However, evil Amanda didn’t fool everyone, and that’s where Charlie Webster comes in.

Hailing from Sheffield in England, Charlie is an investigative journalist who has worked for big British broadcast companies like Channel 4 and Sky.

She is also an actual survivor, who almost lost her life to Malaria.

Teaming up with producer Nancy Moscatiello, the two women unraveled Amanda’s cruel lies in their podcast Scamanda.

Speaking to The U.S Sun. Charlie said of Amanda: “This is a really deep, subtle manipulation.

People were being very hurt, and they were scared of Amanda Riley really scared.

“I think it’s very hard to see because if you question somebody that’s got cancer, that’s in front of you, showing you that she’s got cancer. She didn’t just sit behind a keyboard.

“She did the thing that showed what cancer looked like. She went to hospitals, she had IVs in her arms.”

Speaking about the extend of her lies and manipulation, Charlie added: “People were being very hurt, and they were scared of Amanda, really scared.

“I spent some time, and I found out who was a part of Amanda’s community and friendship, and I had to be really careful because, at this time, some people still believed Amanda.

“People believed Amanda right up until the sentencing day, and sometimes I was speaking to people, and they really didn’t know what I knew. They really didn’t know she was faking cancer.”

Riley shared photos of her fake medication on her blog, Support Amanda

Pleading guilty to fraud

Amanda’s seven-year fraud came crashing down in 2020.

She was arrested after the IRS’ criminal division began investigating her story after it garnered attention on social media.

In 2022, Amanda pleaded guilty to wire fraud.

The Department of Justice said at least 349 people and entities contributed to her fabricated medical expenses between 2012 and 2019, totaling $105,513.

Amanda was sentenced to five years in jail and won’t be up for release until 2027.

Charlie revealed how she has kept in touch with the fraudster since she has been behind bars.

She told us that Amanda is “remorseful” about what she did and admitted that it was “something that got carried away.”

Charlie said: “[Amanda] has opened up to me over this period of time, and she’s said to me that she is sorry.

“She was extremely upset about what she’s done, that she regrets it, and that she’s sorry and she’s accountable.

“[Amanda] said that she wants to serve her time, and she takes the sentence and responsibility, and the punishment, and she wants to try and mend things with her children, be a mom, and try to figure out how to work through this.

“She has told me that this is something that got carried away and she tried to stop, but she was worried about everybody finding out, and people hating her, and her losing everything.

“And she did say to me, ‘But look at where I’m at now. If I would’ve just stopped, but now I have lost everything. Look at me now.’”

Watch the Scamanda documentary

Amanda’s story, as well as those of her victims, will be looked at in the the ABC docuseries Scamanda.

The documentary is based on Charlie’s podcast of the same name.

Scamanda is expected to premiere on ABC in 2025, but an exact date and time are yet to be confirmed.

Lottery officials revealed the winning ticket was purchased in Huntingdon and sold at Huck’s Food & Fuel, 23 Veterans Drive N.

According to the Tennessee Lottery, if mailed, the ticket must be made or postmarked within 180 days after the official winning draw date.

If the mystery winner fails to do so, the ticket will expire and no money will be given.

All claim forms may be downloaded from the Tennessee Lottery website and sent via mail.

Winners may send the forms to: P.O. Box 290636 Nashville, TN 37229-0636

DON’T FORGET

Those looking to send in their form and ticket must include specific documents.

Lottery officials also need to see your signature signed on the back of your actual winning ticket as no copies will be accepted.

In addition to the completed claim form, you’ll need a copy of a valid ID and proof of Social Security number.

Valid Id’s include:

  • State-Issued Driver’s License
  • Voter’s Registration Identification Card
  • State-Issued Identification Card
  • Military Identification Card
  • Passport
  • Alien Registration Receipt Card

Just note that your Social Security number must be on a computer-generated document with your name and all nine digits displayed, like a Social Security card, pay stub or tax forms.

PLAYING POWERBALL

Players must be 18 or older to buy or redeem Lottery tickets.

Each online drawing has a “draw break,” a short period when tickets cannot be purchased on the day of the drawing just before the draw.

However, after the draw occurs, tickets can be purchased again.

Lottery winnings: lump sum or annuity?

Players who win big on lottery tickets typically have a choice to make: lump sum or annuity?

The two payout methods can impact how much money you get from your prize.

Annuities pay out slowly in increments, often over 30 years.

Lump sums pay all at once but in a smaller amount, as taxes are withheld in one go. That means 24% of your prize goes to Uncle Sam right away. Many states tax winnings as well.

Annuities can provide winners time to set up the financial infrastructure required to take in a life-changing amount of money, but lump sums have the benefit of being taxed only once.

Inflation is also worth considering when making a choice, as payouts do not adjust with the value of a dollar. That means that you’ll likely be getting less valuable money towards the end of an annuity.

Each state and game pays out prizes differently, so it’s best to check with your state’s lottery to confirm payment policies. A financial advisor can also help you weigh the pros and cons of each option.

Experts have varying opinions on whether to take the lump sum or take the annuity.

Powerball draw break begins at approximately 9 pm CT – 10 pm ET.

Double Play is a new add-on feature to the Powerball game.

For an additional $1 per play, folks get another chance to match Powerball numbers in a second-chance drawing with a top prize of $10 million.

The Double Play drawing is held after every Powerball drawing on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

Keep in mind there are inherent risks involved in playing the lottery, and you should only buy a ticket if you can afford to do so.
