Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol rematch in huge doubt as major decision on undisputed champ’s next fight announced

A HUGE spanner has potentially been thrown into the works of a rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

The Russian duo went to war for all the light-heavyweight marbles in a memorable Riyadh rumble last weekend.

An immediate rematch for all the belts is in doubt as the IBF have ordered Beterbiev to fight his mandatory challenger next[/caption]

Chechen clubber Beterbiev was crowned the undisputed king of 175-pounders after 12 gruelling rounds, although many believe he was gifted the decision.

Boxing fans around the world called for an immediate rematch following Beterbiev’s coronation, which came courtesy of 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112 scorecards.

But the IBF have thrown a spanner into the works of what would be another mouthwatering affair.

The American sanctioning body has ruled that Beterbiev MUST fight the mandatory challenger for his red strap next.

They have ordered the 39-year-old to fight 13-1 German Michael Eifert.

Under IBF regulations, Beterbiev will have to reach a deal to face Eifert within 30 days or risk being STRIPPED of the belt.

So a potential rematch with Bivol, who has submitted an appeal over the result of last weekend’s bout, likely WON’T be an undisputed affair.

There are parallels with the quandary Oleksandr Usyk found himself in after winning his undisputed heavyweight showdown with Tyson Fury in May.

Usyk, however, opted against rematching mandatory IBF challenger Daniel Dubois and vacated the belt.

Former IBO and WBA light-heavyweight king Bivol was crestfallen after hearing veteran announcer Michael Buffer announce Beterbiev as the winner of their showdown.

He told Sky Sports: “I feel empty emotionally now. I went to the ring only to win this fight but I don’t have my belt.”

When pressed on a potential rematch, he added: “If I have this chance of course I would like to fight again.”

Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh believes Bivol was denied a clear victory and will do everything in his power to make a rematch come to fruition.

He told The Stomping Ground: “This was one of the great fights of the last 20 years I think.

“But I don’t think the result was fair, in my opinion.

“The two fighters are like my brothers, but I think Bivol won two rounds more.

“I will focus and I will try to do the rematch. If they accept, we will do it.”

Assassinated Yahya Sinwar gained title of ‘Gaza’s Bin Laden’ after killing with his bare hands & burying enemies alive

HAMAS mastermind Yahya Sinwar – assassinated by Israeli forces in Gaza today – carved out a bloody reputation for killing his enemies with his bare hands.

The terror kingpin, 62, buried his opposers alive and orchestrated the horrific massacre of some 1,200 people in Israel on October 7.

Dubbed “Gaza’s Bin Laden”, he was at the very top of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) kill list for over a year.

Today Israeli foreign minister Israel Katz confirmed he was killed in an airstrike on Rafah, southern Gaza.

Sinwar, who has led Hamas in Gaza since 2017, evaded assassination for months by hiding in the enclave’s underground tunnel network.

Israeli troops struck a building with an airstrike on Wednesday killing three Hamas terrorists.

The building collapsed – and as troops picked through the rubble, they stumbled across a corpse that reportedly “looked very much like” Sinwar.

Secret files revealed earlier this year shed light on the true horrors that Sinwar committed throughout his bloodthirsty reign.

Transcripts from Israeli Secret Service interviews done with Sinwar in 1989 revealed how the terror boss liked to kill with his bare hands.

During some 150 hours of interrogation he admitted to a dozen brutal murders, revealing sick details about how he shot his victims from close range or strangled them.

He even admitted to ordering his brother – also a member of Hamas – to bury a man alive who was a suspected Israeli collaborator.

Sinwar has been Israel’s top kill list priority for over a year

Graphic images shared online today appeared to show his dead body in the ruins of the struck building in Rafah, with a horrific head wound.

The pictured body looks to have the same mole as Sinwar next to his left eye as well as similar earlobes and teeth.

Soldiers involved in the strike did not reportedly realise who they took out until they saw his corpse.

Israel told the US the mission happened yesterday – with one official telling NBC News that DNA tests are now underway to verify Sinwar’s identity.

American officials apparently believe that if he has died, it comes as a lucky break for Israel.

Hamas sources have told Reuters that early indications would suggest their leader has been killed.

A statement from the IDF earlier today read: “During an activity by IDF fighters in the Gaza Strip, three terrorists were killed.

“The IDF and Shin Bet are investigating the possibility that one of the terrorists is Yahya Sinwar.

“At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed.”

Israel previously released this footage of Sinwar escaping through a Gaza tunnel as they vowed to hunt him down

Overnight parking ban goes into effect in days in major US city and cars will be towed ‘block by block’ under new law

A NEW law is set to be enforced to prohibit overnight parking of RVs on certain public streets.

The parking regulations will roll out on November 1 in San Francisco as lawmakers seek to combat the escalating homelessness in the city.

Beginning November 1, large RVs and trailers parked from midnight to 6 am on city streets where a dedicated sign is posted face being towed by parking officials.

Parking enforcement officers can tow RVs or trailers without a warrant if the occupant declines shelter and housing services offered by city officials.

Before the new bill was passed, officials were only allowed to tow an RV or trailer with a proper warrant.

The new policy will aim to slow down the mounting homeless population in the city and help those in need.

“It really is truly a service-first approach,” San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Director of Streets Viktoriya Wise said during a board meeting on Tuesday.

“But what my colleagues found is that until there’s very clear and meaningful enforcement, such as having a vehicle towed, people don’t always want to accept shelter or services.”

City officials have designed a plan to enforce the new overnight parking ban on about one block a month.

Sign installation will begin to roll out on designated blocks.

‘INHUMANE POLICY’

However, opposition has blasted the new enforcement, saying it unfairly targets low-income and immigrant families who are homeless.

“I’m deeply saddened and deeply upset that [Breed] has put forth this cruel, inhumane ban,” Laura Valdez, the executive director of Mission Action, a shelter and housing service program, told the San Francisco Examiner.

“This ban needs to be exposed for what it is – it is turning our backs on families, on children, on people who are our neighbors, who have been part of our community.”

One woman living in an RV for the past six months after her landlord sold her previous home fears potentially losing her only home.

“I’m especially afraid of getting our RV taken away and then paying that towing fine,” the woman told KRON-TV.

“So long as we keep the area clean and we’re able to move to where we need to move, then I don’t think they should be out there harassing us every other day.”

The Coalition on Homelessness voiced their frustration over the new policy.

“[The SFMTA is] making folks give up the only monetary asset they have for temporary shelter when offering no long-term solutions – and again – not investing in the infrastructure,” Lukas Illa, an organizer for the COH, told the outlet.

“If we had five safe parking sites, that would be a completely different story… We have one.”

What to do if your car is towed

Wrongfully or not, retrieving a towed vehicle can be a hassle.

If your vehicle is towed after parking in a “No Parking” zone or other legitimate reason, there are a few steps to take to get it back.

Steps to take when your car is towed:

  • Try to figure out why your car was towed. Did you not see a posted “No Parking” sign? Did you miss a car payment? Did you return to a lot where you have unpaid citations? Finding the reason can narrow down the phone numbers to dial.
  • Locate the vehicle. Most states, cities, or counties require towing companies to leave some form of contact information via a posted sign or sent by mail.
  • Recovery dates and times depend on the company that towed the vehicle, but those times will be posted to the website or can be recited by a representative.
  • Pay the fees. Be careful to be as prompt as possible, as some tow yards may charge storage fees by the day.

If you feel your vehicle was wrongfully towed, contesting the action can be done with the following steps:

  • Be prompt – many states have a small window of time where it’s acceptable to file a complaint against a company that wrongfully towed the vehicle.
  • Gather supporting documents: photos, emails, receipts, police reports, and witness statements if applicable. The more evidence, the better.
  • Get familiar with your local laws, as laws for towing companies vary per state.
  • Try speaking with the towing company. Sometimes it may have been a simple oversight, and the matter can be resolved quickly.
  • Contact the Justice of the Peace in your area, as they may have more insight or resources to help. They are often utilized for towing cases.
  • Talk to a lawyer. Many lawyers have free case consultations, and depending on the case, it may be worth it to utilize a lawyer.
