World snooker champ warned ‘your game will suffer’ by former winners after banking life-changing £177k jackpot

KYREN WILSON has been warned his “game will suffer” by a fellow snooker star.

The 32-year-old is the reigning world champion after victory in the Crucible final over Jak Jones in May.

Stuart Bingham has warned him his game might suffer[/caption]

Since clinching the title, Wilson has continued his good form by beating Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump en route to clinching the Xi’an Grand Prix title and £177,00 jackpot.

But the current world No7 from Kettering has been warned by former world champs Peter Ebdon and Stuart Bingham that his time at the top might not last.

Asked about advice he has received, Wilson told the Metro: “I’ve had in particular two from Stuart Bingham and Peter Ebdon, who are good friends of mine.

“Peter said that at some point you have to say no to a few things, be a bit selfish and put your snooker first.

“Stuart said your game is naturally going to suffer a bit because of the demand and you just can’t commit to everything as much as you would like to and you have to accept that.

“That’s why it’s so pleasing I’ve won early because it takes away a lot of the pressure.

“Then things die down a bit, it’s not as hectic now as it was straight after winning.

“I enjoyed that though, you’ve got a duty to be a good ambassador and role model as world champion and I’m trying my best to do that.”

On his recent wins over O’Sullivan and Trump, Wilson added that he was “really pleased” with his performances in China.

But since then he has failed to make it beyond the third round in his last four tournaments.

Wilson admitted his recent dip in form could be down to “getting on the pina coladas” while on a family holiday in Dubai.

Android phones have private ‘safe’ on phone for hiding ‘sensitive’ apps and photos – and trick makes it even more secret

GOOGLE has upgraded its Android phones with a new feature that lets you “hide” apps.

It works like a kind of “digital safe” inside your phone where you can lock away things you don’t want other people seeing.

Google / Android
Millions of Android phones can now hide apps behind a fingerprint unlock[/caption]

The feature is called Private Space and it’s part of the latest Android 15 update.

Google says you might want to keep social, dating, or banking apps in there.

But you could also store photo or file apps that contain snaps you’d rather keep private.

It’s available right now if you’ve got Android 15 installed.

Google explains: “Private space in Android 15 acts like a digital safe on your phone.

“You can create a separate private space to organize sensitive apps, like your social, dating or banking apps.

“When private space is locked, apps remain virtually invisible to others and are hidden from your apps list, recent apps view, notifications and settings.

“To access private space, there’s an additional layer of authentication to keep apps secure and away from prying eyes.”

And if you want to make it even more private, you can hide the Private Space itself.

That means people won’t even see that it’s there.

HOW TO USE PRIVATE SPACE ON ANDROID

First make sure that you’ve updated to Android 15.

You can check your phone’s version by going to Settings > About Phone > Android Version.

And if you want to update, go to Settings > System > Software Update.

Note that the names of these settings may vary slightly depending on your phone model.

You can access the Private Space at the bottom of your app drawer[/caption]

Once you’ve got Android 15, you can then go into Settings > Security & Privacy.

Next you’ll want to look for Private Space, and follow the Set Up instructions.

This will create a new area at the bottom of your app drawer where you can find your hidden apps.

However, you can also hide the Private Space completely by going into settings.

Google explains: “For additional privacy, you can choose to hide the existence of private space from view on your phone.”

IPHONE USERS HAVE THIS TOO!

Don’t worry if you’re reading this and you’re panicking because you have an iPhone.

Apple recently built a very similar feature into the iPhone as part of the new iOS 18 update.

Just going into Settings > General > Software Update to check if you have it.

You can choose to lock and hide almost any app on iOS 18 for iPhone
Apple

Then simply go to the Home Screen, touch and hold on an app icon, then choose Require Face ID.

After that, select the option to Hide and Require Face ID.

You can then find the hidden app in the Hidden folder at the bottom of the App Library – that’s on the far-right Home Screen panel.

It’s impossible to see what’s inside the locked Hidden folder from the outside.

The Welshman was set to face Raymond van Barneveld tonight in the second round of the competition.

Gerwyn Price has pulled out the Czech Darts Open[/caption]

But Price has pulled out because of a trapped nerve in his neck.

He has been replaced by Maik Kuivenhoven from the reserve list.

Fans were left devastated by the news, with one saying: “Gerwyn is a character and the game is boring without characters. Hope he gets well soon.”

Another added: “Injury prone darts player.”

A third worried: “He might have to retire soon.”

Supporters are panicked because this is not the first time Price has had to withdraw from an event due to a nerve problem.

Back in May, he decided not to play in the Premier League event in Aberdeen.

But he instead cited nerve trouble in his back rather than his neck.

Price’s decision provides Kuivenhoven with a massive chance to qualify for the World Championship as the appearance seems him climb the PDC order of merit.

He will pocket £2,500 even if he loses to Van Barneveld in Prague this evening.

Gran took heartbreaking final photo of granddaughter, 3, just seconds before she was killed by hit-and-run driver

A HEARTBREAKING picture shows a three-year-old girl picking colorful flowers just moments before she was killed in a tragic car accident.

Jamie was babysitting her granddaughter Scarlett along with her little brother Henry when an out-of-control Chevy Tahoe came crashing on them.

Scarlet’s family have now shared her final picture[/caption]

The grandma, who was clicking pictures when the unthinkable tragedy happened, unknowingly captured her grandaughter’s last moments.

Two years into the accident that took place in Idaho, Jaime’s daughter Samantha has now shared the poignant picture on social media.

The mum wrote: “My mom took this picture at 4:47 pm and my daughter’s time of death was 4:52. My mom didn’t know she was capturing the last moments of her life.

“I looked at the timestamp and realized it was only five minutes before her declared time of death, so it must have been taken seconds before the person hit them.

“This one is really hard for me to look at, just knowing what comes next breaks my heart.”

In 2022, Jaime took her grandchildren out to get some ice cream when Scarlett wanted to get out of her stroller.

And just when the little girl was busy picking flowers along the way, A speeding Chevy Tahoe came crashing down the dirt road, colliding with Scarlett as well as her brother and grandma.

Jaime screamed to stop the driver from crashing and even tried to push the children out of the way.

But the car was reportedly going “way too fast”.

“Scarlett was killed almost instantly and my mom and Henry were critically injured,” Samantha told People.

“That’s when my mom took the last picture I have of her alive.”

However, the devastated mum did not realise for weeks that Jaime had captured her daughter’s final moments

She revealed how she felt the moment she saw her daughter’s final picture.

“My mom lost her phone when they were hit and it took us a while to find it, so when we finally did I was going through the pictures and found that one,” Samantha said.

“It was extremely painful for me to look at in the beginning. How do you come to terms with the existence of a ‘last picture’ of your child?”

However, two years after the tragedy Samantha finally gained the confidence to share the tragic picture wth the world.

“I am so incredibly thankful to have that photo,” the mum said while sharing the picture.

“It captures the peaceful feeling of her last moments, the beauty she was surrounded by when she took her last breaths. I will forever picture her happy and carefree and picking flowers.”

After the deadly accident, Scarlett’s brother Henry was left fighting for his life in intensive care.

He had a fractured spine, six broken ribs and jaw, a broken collarbone, a liver laceration and several other injuries, DailyMail reports.

He along with grandma Jaime eventually recovered from the tragic crash.

But the family is still grappling with the devastating loss of their three-year-old.

Jim Patton, Scarlett’s grandfather, told KHQ: “A piece of my soul is gone. She was ‘so full of life, so full of love…such a smart little girl.”

Samantha added: “Without Scarlett running around, the house feels so quiet and empty.

“Some days, it feels like I am drowning, and some days I can tread water.”

The mum said she decided to share her agony so that people feel “okay to grieve loudly”.

“You don’t have to do it in silence,” she added.

“Talk about your people, scream their names loud and proud and never stop sharing their stories.”

Cops soon arrested the reckless driver who initially fled the scene after the accident.

He is now reportedly serving a 10-year prison sentence.
