Conor McGregor, the notorious UFC fighter, has once again set the internet ablaze with his latest social media antics. This time, the Irish superstar has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on his digital representations in various video games, from EA Sports UFC to Call of Duty.
But in true McGregor fashion, he didn’t stop there.
The former two-division champion went on to drop a bombshell announcement that has fighting game enthusiasts giddy with excitement and anticipation. It seems the Notorious One is ready to make his mark in the virtual world, and he’s promising something we’ve “never heard nor seen before.”
McGregor’s Digital Doppelgangers: From UFC to Call of Duty
The conversation kicked off when X user @LiamHealy16 shared a post comparing McGregor‘s in-game models across different titles:
There has been 5 UFC games and the best Conor McGregor has looked in a game is still Call Of Duty pic.twitter.com/E5aiN5ydsD

It’s a fair point—while the EA Sports UFC games have certainly improved their character models over the years, McGregor’s Call of Duty avatar does look impressively lifelike. But what many fans might not realize is that the UFC star didn’t just lend his likeness to the game—he actually played the role of Captain Bradley Fillion, the tertiary antagonist in the 2016 Call of Duty entry, Infinite Warfare.
But the man himself wasn’t about to let this comparison slide without adding his two cents:
These two are pretty good in fairness. I am currently working on a @bareknucklefc video game! Fast pace action with nasty cuts and blood splatter and the sound of bare knuckles on skull impact never heard nor seen before in a video game. Stay tuned! https://t.co/t1wPWA7Inb

Talk about dropping a bombshell! McGregor’s tease about a bare-knuckle fighting game has sent ripples through the gaming and MMA fighting community alike, with fans already speculating about what this could mean for the future of fighting games.
This is awesome, yesterday I was wondering if there will ever be a bkfc game. Would be really fun to get my hands on this

It seems McGregor’s timing couldn’t be better, as there’s clearly an appetite for a more brutal, no-holds-barred fighting experience in the gaming world.
From Virtual Octagon to Bare-Knuckle Brutality
While details about the proposed Bare Knuckle FC video game are scarce, McGregor’s description alone is enough to paint a vivid—and bloody— picture. And fans are already weighing in with their wishlists for the game:
Please have fight night mechanics , you do that and I guarantee you it’ll be the number r1 fight game in the planet , cannot wait for your game !

Others are offering their own suggestions for improvement:

Of course, not everyone is content with just a bare-knuckle fighting game. Some fans are dreaming even bigger:
You need to collaborate with @FortniteGame

Given Fortnite‘s ever-expanding multiverse and history of surprising collaborations, seeing McGregor drop into the battle royale island wouldn’t be shocking at all. In fact, it might just be a matter of time before we see The Notorious One performing his signature strut across the Fortnite map.
But as we await more details about this potential game-changer in the fighting game genre, one thing’s for certain: if McGregor brings the same intensity to game development that he brings to the Octagon, we’re in for one hell of a ride.
What do you think about McGregor’s tease of a bare-knuckle fighting game? Are you excited to see what he brings to the gaming world, or do you think he should stick to what he knows best? Let us know in the comments below!
