His interest in car racing started when he was younger and his career in it could be traced back to 2004 when he joined a celebrity race. As revealed in an exclusive interview with People, the professional racer admitted this has always been his dream.

I don’t want to say it’s a long time coming, but this has been a dream of mine for forever. I started with doing the open wheel route. I thought I was going to go IndyCar, kind of the Formula 1 route, but I always had in the back of my mind that I wanted to try NASCAR.

Despite his intense interest in the activity, he never thought he would be able to have the opportunity. Now, he is proud and excited to join one of the biggest national teams, Reaume Brothers Racing, for the upcoming 2025 season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

All his efforts to get into the world of car racing were not in vain. He told the outlet that he wanted people to know how he dedicated his life to this incredible opportunity. When he is not on the tracks or inside a race car, he is either watching past races or training in the simulator at Ford.

Many fans would be wondering if he is officially leaving Hollywood, but Muniz said that he is not closing his doors on acting. He wants people to know that he can do both.

Muniz revealed he had a positive experience in the world of acting, but it is a business he would not let his kid get into. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, he claimed the entertainment industry is “an ugly world in general.”

Indeed, there are tons of rejections and negative experiences in the professional world of acting, something he revealed his close friends have endured in the past. He compared his break in acting to winning the lottery because not everyone gets the chance.

Now that he has made the switch to car racing, Muniz will have to put acting on the back burner for the time being.
