Chris Evans Needs to Accept Sebastian Stan’s Masterstroke of an Offer to Save His Flailing Post-MCU Career

Being in the movie industry comes with a risk of being overthrown by other actors who star in bigger projects, and there is a slight fear that Chris Evans might be wasting his potential on films that barely help him showcase what he’s capable of. Evans, who turned 43 earlier this year hasn’t had too many of his recent movies get much recognition, specifically, the ones done outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Before things get worse, the Avengers: Endgame superstar needs to start taking on roles that will bring his name back to relevance. Even if the movie roles don’t come his way, Evans could possibly take up an opportunity that his dear friend, Sebastian Stan has offered.

Chris Evans should consider Sebastian Stan’s offer to star alongside him in plays

Chris Evans was already a veteran in the movie business before being cast as Captain America, starring in movies like The Nanny Diaries and Fantastic Four. But his former co-star from the Avengers saga, Sebastian Stan earned his big break as Bucky Barnes in Marvel.

Outside of the MCU, Stan has been doing incredibly well notching roles in a few critically acclaimed movies like I, Tonya, Pam & Tommy, and most recently, The Apprentice. And it doesn’t seem like the Romanian-American actor has given up on his roots either, as he recently expressed his desire to act in plays.

During an interview with Josh Horowitz, Stan stated that he’s been trying to convince Evans to work with him on the stage. However, the efforts haven’t yielded much success. He said,

I keep trying to get Chris Evans [to act in a play with him]… If anybody’s watching this and you want to see Chris Evans and myself on stage, just bother him, text him, DM him, I don’t know [do] whatever. Make posters and send [them] to him. Cause I’m trying to get him… making it public right now.

Stan and Evans starred in a couple of Marvel movies together, but the latter’s run with the MCU concluded with Avengers: Endgame. Unlike most of his former co-stars, Evans’ career has been dangling off a cliff since then.

How will Sebastian Stan’s offer help Chris Evans come back into relevance?

Isn’t it obvious? The chemistry Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans shared on screen was outstanding, which is why the movies they have worked on together with Marvel have done exceptionally well at the box office too!

A good reunion will attract many fans of the duo and the Avengers saga to watch their play just for old-time’s sake at least (that is if they ever go ahead with the idea). This will also give Evans a chance to come back into the limelight, a place he’s been in for most of his career.

Unfortunately, the trailer and poster of Evans’ most recent project also struggled to attract good reactions from fans on social media. The ex-Marvel star was cast alongside Dwayne Johnson for Red One, a Christmas-themed action movie involving the kidnapping of Santa Claus.

Hopefully, Chris Evans manages to get his career back on track before it’s too late. While Red One hasn’t gotten the reviews it would’ve liked to have, the movie could do well following its release. It could either be a hit or a miss, but one thing is for certain, Evans can’t keep accepting mediocre roles!
