The Traitors legend Diane Carson has used her fame to secure the hottest ticket in TV land – a seat in the Strictly Come Dancing studio audience.

Her attendance was clearly visible after Aljaž Škorjanec and Tasha Ghouri’s performance. An image of her cameo was shown on the BBC series’ spin-off, It Takes Two, and presenter Janette Manrara joked that she didn’t look very excited. Of course, Diane has had her say back.

The conversation about Diane’s Saturday evening plans took place when Tasha, 26, was discussing what it meant to have her mum and nan in the studio.

The proud pair got to watch Tasha get the first 10s of the series. She scored an impressive 39 for a Charleston to Unhealthy by Anne Marie and Shania Twain.

However, Aljaž, 34, got distracted by Diane, 64, who was sitting behind Tasha’s loved ones.

Diane got a second-row seat to experience all the action, but in our opinion, she has FROW energy all day. Fellow icon Jacqueline Wilson was also spotted in the crowd by the way.

After noticing her, Aljaž said: ‘Can we go back to that photo? Is that the lady from Traitors?’ ‘Yes it is. Moving on,’ Janette, who is married to professional dancer Aljaž, quickly said.

The 40-year then remarked: ‘Diane is in the building. She’s not very excited.’ In the image, Diane has a more neutral expression, compared to the people around her.

Diane clearly sees everything – she discovered the interation and quickly wanted to set the record straight on her demure facial expression.

‘Oh, @jmanrara, I was definitely not looking excited at that point. I was too busy trying not to cry, having seen @tashaghouri’s Mum’s tears of absolute joy and pride during and after her daughter’s performance,’ she explained on Instagram.

If anyone can recognise a mother, it is Diane. ‘That’s indeed how I knew the lady sitting in front of me could only be a Mum – Tasha’s Mum! 🥰🙂.’

She did then express gratitude to Aljaž for his enthusiasm: ‘Thanks for the spot @aljazskorjanec ! 😉😘.’

It’s been an action-packed week on It Takes Two, with JB Gill admitting his wife Chloe Gill thought he kissed Amy Dowden in their steamy rumba.

While Katya Jones and Wynne Evans felt compelled to defend their joke.

The pair were the centre of a PR storm, after Katya appeared to forcibly remove Wynne’s hand from her waist, and then rejected his offer of a high five.

Diane found fame on The Traitors 2024, where she famously concealed her familal connection to another faithful, Ross.

During the series, Diane uttered the memorable words: ‘Paul’s not my son, Ross is’ and life was never the same again.

Strictly: It Takes Two airs every weekday on BBC2 at 6:30pm
