Thereafter, as per Ranker, the couple started exchanging messages through Instagram and started forming an undeniable bond. Spending their early days exploring each other’s passions and deepening their connection, Gustin and Thoma bonded over their shared interests and values.

According to the outlet, well-known celebrities were on the guest list including Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood, and Hamilton‘s Daveed Diggs. Dear Evan Hansen star Taylor Trensch, along with Broadway actors Adam Kaplan, Jared Loftin, Ben Ross, and Leela Rothenberg were also present. Model Renée Mittelstaedt and personal trainer Ryan Phillips also attended the wedding. 

The outlet also reported that prior to Gustin and Thoma’s L.A. wedding, the couple had held a “symbolic Kadazan ceremony to honor Thomas’ ancestors” during their visit to Malaysia in December 2017.

The Couple Welcomed Their First Daughter 

Fast-forward to three years into their marriage, Grant Gustin and Andrea “LA” Thoma announced the birth of their first child—daughter Juniper Grace Louise, in August 2021. The arrival of their little girl marked a new chapter filled with sleepless nights, endless joy, and an abundance of love.

Soon the couple began sharing several glimpses of their family life on social media, by keeping their daughter’s face hidden. Thereafter, in an interview with the Verywell Family, Thoma explained the reason behind hiding their daughter’s identity, claiming that it’s Juniper’s right to decide when to become a public persona.

In May 2023, Grant Gustin took a moment to share a heartfelt tribute to his wife and the mother of his child Andrea “LA” Thoma in honor of Mother’s Day. Sharing an image of Thoma carrying their daughter, Gustin showered her with praises. Apparently, Andrea “LA” Thoma has been loving, caring, and most importantly patient through his battle with depression and anxiety. During his interview on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside Of You podcast, Gustin opened up about his lifelong battle with anxiety and depression. 

Confessing how he has “always been really hard” on himself, the actor claimed to understand well, what it is like to deal with anxiety and depression. Opening up about experiencing his mental battles for his entire life, since “probably four or five”, Gustin recalled experiencing “weird, anxious-type dreams” as a child.

He later admitted how personal things began surfacing when he and his wife Andrea Thoma went for couples therapy before they got married. The actor noted his difficulty in having a conversation and listening to his wife. However, despite all odds, Gustin noted how they’ve tackled the ups and downs of mental health, and how Thoma has been a life support for him. 

The Couple Welcomed Their Second Child 

Meanwhile, three years after Juniper’s arrival, the couple expanded their crew with the birth of their second child—son Arthur James Grant Gustin, in September 2024. The Gustins had announced the pregnancy in a heartwarming post on Instagram, months prior to the birth of Arthur.

In a mirror selfie, Andrea “LA” Thoma was seen displaying her baby bump while being embraced by Grant Gustin and Juniper, while her face remained subtly hidden. A second photo showed Juniper wearing a T-shirt that read “In My Big Sister Era.”
