Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is set to release Chapter 15 on Monday, 21st October 2024. However, leaks have already revealed vital information and spoilers about the chapter an entire week before its release. With the onset of spoilers came a flurry of memes surrounding the nature of Boruto’s relationship with his adoptive brother, Kawaki. Many fans couldn’t believe this was the next step of their brotherhood and cheered while others found it quite hilarious (if the leaks are true), especially Boruto’s cold reaction. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will definitely develop their bond.
The two have had a turbulent brotherhood. Boruto was raised with the expectations of being Naruto’s son and his reputation as the Hokage did not help him. Kawaki, on the other hand, faced abuse from his biological family and experimentation, leaving him to deal with PTSD. However, he bonds with the Uzumaki family and the two get stronger together. This breaks soon with Kawaki having to make a terrible choice between saving his father figure or sparing his brotherly figure.
Boruto and Kawaki in Chapter 15
Kawaki was taken in by Naruto, to live with the Uzumaki family and to train under him too. More than that, the Kama user was also assigned to train and awaken Boruto’s dormant Kama. Kama is a seal of the backup biological data of the members of the Ōtsutsuki family, and Boruto gained it after Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki implanted one on him after their battle. Kawaki, on the other hand, got it from Isshiki.
This would mean Boruto can be resurrected as Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and Kawaki perceives this as a great threat. He is pretty much driven by his need to kill Boruto for the sake of Naruto’s safety but is conflicted.
In Chapter 15, they reencounter each other and the dynamic is back but this time, Boruto demands that Kawaki train to get better and if the time comes, be able to kill the Uzumaki. This interaction has caused a lot of memes.
Fans find it amusing and tragic that Kawaki will now train under the very person he is focused on killing. All the training is to prepare him for the day when he can’t control if Momoshiki is awakened or resurrected within him. There are moments when the Ōtsutsuki can also temporarily take over the Uzumaki. Boruto admitted that he would’ve originally continued training with Naruto, but since there’s not much time left, he is the next best option. It’s also a bit confusing why Boruto is so cooperative with Kawaki, who sealed his parents away.
What’s Next in Chapter 15 of Boruto
Aside from Kawaki and Boruto reuniting at Naruto’s Hokage face, there was a third person present hidden in the shadows: Amado Sanzu. We also see a flashback of Gaara, Shinki, Yodo vs Matsuri, and Claw Grimes. Fans can expect Kankuro and Gaara to make their official appearance in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Ryu has also been given an official cover page with colour and is definitely going to make a strategic move. A lot of mystery surrounds Chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex but perhaps Ryu will also be the first Shinju to fall.
