“Why has a gem like this been hidden?”: Solo Leveling’s True Heir isn’t Omniscient Reader, It’s Another Manhwa That’s Finally Getting an Anime Adaptation

In the ever-evolving world of anime and manga, countless titles keep getting added to the monumental library that is well-adored by the Otaku community. As a result, when it was announced that Solo Leveling, the infectiously popular manhwa, would receive an anime adaptation, it was believed to be the next great thing.

Hence, everyone started talking about the title, which resulted in unreal hype, and everyone set the bar way too high. The result was nothing but sheer disappointment as it failed to meet the audience’s expectations, where it featured a simple, game-like plot. The majority of the show showcased Sung Jin-woo farming XP as if it were a video game character.

However, it looks like another worthy title has come forth, which has showcased the potential to become a piece of art that should become the rightful heir of the Manhwa adaptations. Before the fans get full of themselves, they should know that it is not Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint but a different title that has proved its worth to the readers.

Solo Leveling Finally Found Its Rightful Successor

Despite Ch’ugong’s Solo Leveling’s anime adaptation failing to meet the expectations set by the fans, it managed to become a name that features the most engaging manhwa to ever written. The reaction was evident when the first chapter of the series hit the shelves.

Sadly, the storyline did not gel with the audience, which heavily influenced its success and the potential impact that it could have had on the industry. However, the adaptation was not all bad because the viewers praised the show for having animation that rivaled the likes of Demon Slayer, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and many more.

After the show’s failure, many titles came forward, with one being Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, which suddenly spiked in popularity and initially promised to have a strong premise. However, it could not stay consistent, which left its readers on the high, especially how it low-key feels like Solo Leveling in disguise.

The Manhwa industry was low until the readers found The Beginning After The End, popularly known as TBATE. The show mainly revolves around Arthur Leywin, who is trying to make his current life more fulfilled than the previous one. The series brings something new to the table and even has an interesting power system within a power system.

Additionally, the series is not just a power for hunger, as it features the family scrap for power that led to a rippling domino effect that would feature unforeseen plot twists that were not anticipated by the readers of the series. As a result, when it became a popular read among the weebs, they could not help but sing praises of the title.

Fans Have Taken To Social Media To Praise TBATE

The popularity of the series did not take long for the fans to sing praises of the series. A fan posted on Reddit, where they mentioned that they have not “binged on a series so hard in a while.” They mentioned how they began with audiobooks, then went through all the Kindles, even becoming a Patreon to keep up with the work.

They concluded their statement by asking, “why has a gem like this been hidden??” But what followed was making the post more wholesome as the author of the manhwa left a comment on the post and how he would keep their work consistent for his fans. The fans also left positive reviews of the work on the post, as they commented,

Nevertheless, an anime page on X has confirmed how the title is receiving an anime adaptation, and Studio MADHOUSE will be producing it. Though more details are kept under wraps for now, it is enough to keep the fans jumping with excitement, as it might do what Solo Leveling failed to do.

The Beginning After the End is currently available to read on Tapas. Solo Leveling can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
