MrBeast has been one of the most innovative and respectable content creators of all time. Changing one life after the other with his videos, he climbed the ranks to be noted amongst the elites of YouTube. While he isn’t a stranger to controversies, his recent collaboration with Logan Paul and KSI seems to have taken a toll on his reputation like never before.
Fans are unhappy with MrBeast joining forces with Logan Paul, who has been nothing but a magnet to controversies, left and right. Back in 2018, the Youtuber faced unending wrath from viewers after his trip to the Aokigahara forest went wrong, extremely wrong. Since then, people haven’t seen much change in Logan Paul’s personality, and thus, his collaboration with MrBeast irks viewers and other Youtubers to no extent.
MrBeast and Logan Paul’s Collaboration
MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul joined hands to create a competing product with the extremely popular Lunchables. Their lunchboxes are named ‘Lunchly’ and are being marketed as a “healthier” version of their competitors. Lunchly contain a Feastables bar, a bottle of Prime, and then your usual food items – pizza, nachos, and turkey stack ‘ems.
Unfortunately for the trio, the Internet was not too accepting of their collaboration, mainly due to Paul’s involvement in it, not to mention the fact that health experts have warned parents to give in to their children’s demands and buy them the product.
Dietitian Destini Moody went on a rampage against Lunchly, stating,
She even went ahead to call Paul a “megalomaniac” for shoving “his brand [Prime] down the throats of the impressionable” instead of actually caring about what’s good for the children who will be consuming the meal.
On the other hand, while Youtuber Doctor Mike stated that the harsh criticisms against the trio were “unfair,” he, too, noted that the calories included in the meal weren’t feasible enough for a child of young age. Adding to that, the lunchbox will play a vital role in increasing the sodium intake of children, which, in easier terms, is bad.
More YouTubers Stand Against the Collaboration
British creators Chris Broad and CDawgVA also expressed their disappointment with the collaboration, but their main concern was MrBeast using his influential platform to work with creators like Paul, who haven’t been a great influence on kids.
Broad slammed MrBeast for only wanting to focus on “making himself the richest Youtuber in the world.” He added, “Then he teamed up with Logan Paul. That should tell you all you need to know. Logan Paul is the biggest f**king c**t there is. You shouldn’t be partnering with those sorts of people.”
The creator also took to X, where he replied to Dexerto’s tweet, elaborating on his views.
Just like many others, Broad too hasn’t been able to forget Paul’s Aokigahara forest vlog, where he not only filmed someone hanging from a tree but was also extremely apathetic to the situation. Check out his full tweet below:
Another British Youtuber DanTDM also called the trio out for their product saying, “This is selling crap to kids who don’t know better than to trust the people who are selling it to them. Do better.”
Whether it’s creators and health experts banishing Lunchly or calling Paul’s involvement in it, it’s safe to say that MrBeast is knee-deep in controversy at the moment.
