Every Adam Sandler Movie Also Starring His Daughters Sadie and Sunny Sandler

With his career spanning decades in Hollywood, Adam Sandler has become one of the most renowned comedy icons in the entertainment industry. But on top of starring in hilarious roles, Sandler has also been involved in film production through his company, Happy Madison Productions. This has allowed the actor to have more control over his projects, which helped him bring his family into his work.

Well, fans of Adam Sandler might not realize, but the actor has often starred alongside his daughters, Sadie and Sunny Sandler, who have practically grown up on sets. Believe it or not, Sandler’s daughters have gained a prominent spot in his films, including some of his best projects.

1. Bedtime Stories (2008)

Over the years, Adam Sandler has cemented his career as a Hollywood A-lister, following his appearance in comedy films and family-friendly dramas. But the 2008 movie Bedtime Stories, was among a few of his first family-oriented films, which saw him play Skeeter Bronson, a hotel handyman whose stories came to life.

However, while his role was quite charming and fascinating, it was his daughter Sadie Sandler’s appearance alongside him that stole hearts. The actor’s baby daughter was under two years old when she appeared as the “Sweetest Medieval Girl of All Time” in one of the fairy tales narrated by Sandler.

Bedtime Stories is currently available to watch on Disney+.

2. You Don’t Mess With The Zohan (2008)

The very same year, Adam Sandler appeared in the action-comedy You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, where he played the titular character. The movie not only marked his long-awaited reunion with Judd Apatow but also featured Sandler’s wife and daughter, Jackie and Sadie in uncredited appearances as mother and daughter.

The movie narrated the story of Zohan, (Adam Sandler) who was looking for a massive career change, after being tired of serving as an Israeli Special Forces Soldier. As the film proceeded, Sandler’s character faked his death to live out his dream of being a hairstylist in New York City.

You Don’t Mess With The Zohan is currently available to watch on Prime Video.

3. Jack & Jill (2011)

Although Jack and Jill is often considered one of Adam Sandler’s worst movies, the 2011 film maintained the trend of casting family members. In the film, Sandler hilariously took on the role of both Jack as well as Jill, who were fraternal twins, alongside cameos from Al Pacino and Johnny Depp, playing themselves.

In the movie, Sandler’s daughters Sadie and Sunny made cameo appearances as little girls on the cruise ship that Jack & Jill’s family were vacationing on. Although the roles were brief, they still maintained the trend of featuring Sandler’s daughters and marked the real-life siblings’ second movie appearances as onscreen sisters.

Jack & Jill is currently available to watch on Prime Video.

4. That’s My Boy (2012)

Among few of Sadie and Sunny’s early appearances (together) in Adam Sandler’s films, the 2012 raunchy R-rated comedy That’s My Boy, became another of their onscreen collaboration as sisters, alongside their father. Although they had a fleeting cameo as children running a local lemonade stand, it helped the kids get habituated to professionalism early on.

Meanwhile, although the movie had hilarious bits and a few raunchy and wild scenes, That’s My Boy, was met with dismal reviews and marked one of Sandler’s few movies to bomb at the box office.

That’s My Boy is currently available to watch on Prime Video.

5. Hotel Transylvania (2012)

A few years into the industry—appearing in cameo roles as well as watching Adam Sandler work—the actor’s daughters Sadie and Sunny gained the confidence to appear in significant roles, in the Hotel Transylvania franchise. The film featured Sandler in the role of Count Dracula, while his real family members played important roles in the beloved children’s franchise.

Sadie Sandler voiced both Winnie and young Mavis, whereas Sunny Sandler is also credited in the movie, for voicing additional characters and smaller roles. The film also featured Sandler’s wife Jackie, who voiced the role of Count Dracula’s late wife Martha.

Hotel Transylvania is currently available to watch on Prime Video.

6. Grown-Ups (2010) & Grown-Ups 2 (2013)

Adam Sandler has been the face of comedy films for years, but it was his Grown Ups films that witnessed an Avengers-like lineup of all these funny people coming together. Narrating the tale of five former friends and their families, who reunite following the death of their high school basketball coach, the film saw Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James, and Rob Schneider together.

Meanwhile, other familiar faces in Sandler’s sphere also included his wife Jackie, and daughters Sunny and Sadie as the wife and children of Richie Minervini’s Tardio, who was a member of the five friends’ rival group. Right after the 2010 iteration became a success, the film’s cast and crew along with Sandler’s family returned to reprise their roles in the film’s sequel.

Grown Ups films are currently available to watch on Netflix.

7. Blended (2014)

Call it a family business, for in Adam Sandler’s 2014 movie Blended, the actor cast his wife, and kids as well as his mother Judith Sandler. Well, the movie narrating the tale of two chaotic families, who come together after being forced to share a South African vacation package, saw Jackie and Sunny appear in minor roles, playing the Hollywood Stepmom and the Wall Street Stepdaughter.

Meanwhile, Sadie and her grandmother, Judith appeared in the film as the Little League Announcer and her grandmother. And surprisingly, Sandler’s family captured hearts with their brief but beloved appearances.

Blended is currently available to watch on Prime Video.

8. Pixels (2015)

Adam Sandler’s Pixels was a bigger-budget sci-fi comedy than what the actor was generally known for. The film saw aliens attacking Earth in the form of a video game they had received as a time capsule, and it’s up to Sandler’s character Sam Brenner, to save the day.

The 2015 movie once again turned out to be a family affair, as the actor’s wife Jackie appeared as President’s assistant Jennifer, whereas Sadie and Sunny appeared in cameos as a sweet Girl Scout and Lemonade Sadie. The film also featured Sandler’s nephew Jared as the White House Junior Aide.

Pixels is currently available to watch on Apple TV.

9. The Do-Over (2016)

Following Adam Sandler’s appearance in Bulletproof, the actor once again returned to the buddy action movie genre with The Do-Over in 2016. Playing the role of Max, who alongside his buddy Charlie (David Spade), decided to fake their deaths and start over with new identities, the movie once again featured his wife and kids.

Jackie appeared in The Do-Over as Joan, whereas her daughters Sadie and Sunny appeared as Auto Store Lou’s daughters, Sally and Daisy. Once again, although these roles were quite brief for his family members, they added an extra layer of warmth to the film’s humorous narrative.

The Do-Over is currently available to watch on Netflix.

10. Murder Mystery (2019)

Well, who doesn’t know about Murder Mystery, the hilarious collaboration between Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, who have been building their own franchise at Netflix. In the 2019 movie, Sandler played New York City cop Nick Spitz, and Aniston played his wife, Audrey, both of whom end up getting framed for the murder of an elderly billionaire, on their European vacation.

In the movie, Sandler’s wife Jackie appeared as the Great Looking Flight Attendant, whereas his daughters Sunny and Sadie appeared as children Brittany and Summer, respectively. However, despite proving that family bonding can happen even amid chaos, Sandler’s family members didn’t return for the film’s 2023 sequel.

Murder Mystery is currently available to watch on Netflix.

11. Hubie Halloween (2020)

Considering how Adam Sandler has appeared majorly in family-friendly films, the actor has tackled quite a few holiday-themed projects as well as festive films. Therefore, putting a humorous look at the Halloween season, Sandler’s Hubie Halloween portrayed him as Hubie Dubois who was an eccentric community volunteer.

With the responsibility to save the day falling upon Sandler’s titular character, once again, his family appeared in brief roles, where his wife played the role of journalist Tracy Phillips, who dressed up as Harley Quinn for the holiday. Meanwhile, Sadie played the role of Danielle, and Sunny appeared as Cooky, two of the teen characters who are central to the story.

Being an integral part of the storyline allowed Sandler’s kids to have roles that extended beyond wordless cameos and one-scene appearances, for the first time.

Hubie Halloween is currently available to watch on Netflix.

12. You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023)

Eventually, the day came when Adam Sandler’s family transitioned from cameo appearances and small supporting roles in his films to stepping into the spotlight. The coming-of-age comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, based on the novel by Fiona Rosenbloom, saw Sunny Sandler as Stacy, preparing for her Bat Mitzvah only for it to turn into a disaster.

Alongside Sunny in the lead role, her real-life sister Sadie played her on-screen older sister, Ronnie, while their mom Jackie Sandler played the mother of Stacy’s best friend. As for Adam Sandler, the tables turned and he appeared in a supporting role as Stacy and Ronnie’s father Danny. Available for streaming, the film earned praise for a strong comedic lead performance and turned out to be Sandler’s best Netflix movie to date.

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is currently available to watch on Netflix.
