During the interview, Lynskey admitted that she dealt with eating issues as a teenager which affected her body image and health. The actress later revealed that after her successful stint on Two and a Half Men, where she reportedly earned $200,000 per episode, she wanted to appear in more movies.

I hate that these roles exist. I think it’s damaging. It’s weird for little girls to watch this movie and be like, Oh, she’s supposed to be the fat one.

Lynskey stated the above about being offered the roles of best friend and chubby friend because she was a size six at the time. From her words, it is evident that the actress had to face fat-shaming despite being one of the most beautiful actresses.

Moreover, Lynskey also added that despite pursuing more film roles, the agency only kept pushing her for television gigs. As a result, Lynskey was frustrated with the lack of opportunities primarily because she left her series regular status on Two and a Half Men to appear in more movies.

Lynskey made the above statement about giving up her contract as a series regular on the hit sitcom ahead of its third season. Furthermore, Lynskey also highlighted her frustrations with her character as she did not appear in every episode but also could not pursue other roles.

The Yellowjackets actress admitted to being frustrated with her character’s development and eventually negotiated a contract that allowed her to remain only a recurring cast member. Despite this, Lynskey appeared in 65 episodes of the sitcom, including the series finale.
