Elon Musk seems to have landed in hot water on the internet after certain comments he made about Eminem seemed to have backfired for the X owner. The Paypal creator came out with allegations about the Lose Yourself rapper in connection with Sean Combs, the industry giant who has been accused of sexual racketeering and misconduct and is currently in custody.
The comments have specifically backfired because of Musk’s association with the disgraced rapper, which seems to be much more positive and beneficial than anything Eminem ever had with P Diddy. As members of the internet march all over Elon Musk’s accusations, there seems to be a lot more that Musk should have been careful about before trying to lump Eminem with the likes of Diddy.
P Diddy was one of the people who helped Elon Musk buy Twitter
Elon Musk might have thought that slinging mud with Eminem might be in his best interest, especially indicating that the man had any positive association with P Diddy.
While Eminem’s hate for Diddy is well known, it has recently come out that Diddy was one of the few elite donors who helped Musk purchase Twitter. While the latter claim was rumored by TMZ when the purchase was actually happening, it was revealed by Musk himself that he is “good friends” with Diddy, whose name allegedly came up as a tactic to quell fears of growing racism on the platform under Musk’s ownership.
Eminem, on the other hand, is one of the few celebrities who came after Diddy even before the rapper was accused of the crimes that he has been held for. Eminem has routinely gone out of his way to include disses against the accused rapper on his tracks, which has led to a lot of fans rallying with the rapper post Diddy’s arrest.
Elon Musk went after Eminem after the latter showed support for Kamala Harris
Eminem endorsed Kamala Harris for the upcoming 2024 Presidential elections in the United States. Musk has become a firm supporter of Donald Trump, despite calling himself a liberal. Musk tried to accuse Eminem of being a part of Diddy’s guest list for his Freak Offs, but his secret connection to the disgraced rapper has led a lot of people to believe that this accusation was completely unfounded and just another ploy to sway voters away from the Democrats.
Elon Musk’s claims have largely been unfounded, but it is unknown to the wider public what was going on behind closed doors. Whether Musk is privy to information that the wider public just doesn’t know, or the tech mogul is just grasping at straws while exercising his freedom of speech remains to be seen. For now, fans of Eminem are just not having it with Musk, given what they see publically is not congruent with what Musk claims.
