Vanderpump Rules tell-all to lift the lid on ‘juicy’ scandals even die-hard fans may have missed, author claims

A NEW Vanderpump Rules book will take fans back to season one and reveal all of the scandalous gossip and Easter eggs viewers may have missed over the past decade.

Author Thea de Sousa is releasing The Unofficial Vanderpump Rules Ultimate Trivia Book after years of documenting the Bravo show on her popular blog.

The book will cover all of the scandal from day one when it first aired in 2013[/caption]

Thea has worked for years in Hollywood having started as a member of the second unit crew on Seinfeld and later developed screenplays for the likes of Julia Roberts.

She has had connections to the Bravo cast and crew since it first aired in 2013 and revealed all of the behind-the-scenes gossip on her blog.

The reality show hit a peak with ‘Scandoval’ when Tom Sandoval cheated on his long-term girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with her close friend, Rachel Leviss, previously known as Raquel.

After the last season, its future hangs in the balance, and Thea wanted to take a trip down memory lane with her new book.

Speaking exclusively to The U.S. Sun, Thea said, “I really know the show like back of my hand.

“Every single chapter starts with a drink recipe and then there’s also a background on one of the characters, Stassi or Jax or whoever, and then there’s 500 trivia questions.

“So it goes from kind of easy to hard covering all the seasons.

“I did all the way up until season 11 because it to the press by last spring. So it has all the seasons that have aired so far in the book.

It really encapsulates the entire show.”

Author Thea de Sousa

“And then there’s lots of fun games like ‘What Vanderpump Character Are You?’

“I kind of have a little sarcasm in it. Obviously, I just treat it with reverence because I really love the show.

“And there’s these amazing illustrations of every character, and they’re all in these iconic poses, like, you’ll have Brittany [Cartwright] saying, ‘Rawt in hell!’

“It’s super fun, if you’re a big fan, to be able to revisit from day one … a lot of stuff you forget right from the beginning of the show. So, I feel like it really acts like a retrospective.

“It’s a big, thick book that’s filled with over 500 trivia questions, games, backstory. And I feel like it really encapsulates the entire show.

“And of course, you know, I spent a lot of time with Sandoval as well, at the end, [he] has his own special chapter.

“I feel like there’s nothing really out there that you can pick up and say, ‘Oh yeah, this was season two, I’ll never forget this moment.'”

Thea says there are many shocking moments from over the years that fans may have forgotten which led to relationship breakdowns or scandals later on.

“It’s real quickly mentioned in the reunion, but people forget, Sandoval actually lived with a girl who had just graduated high school, who was just 18, and [it] was a little scandalous at the time.

“He was like 30, and he had mentioned that he and her roommate had like all kind of had a thing together.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 Cast

Vanderpump Rules has returned to Bravo for one of its most explosive seasons following the fallout of Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix's relationship.

Returning Cast Members

  • Lisa Vanderpump returns as one of the original cast mates and acts as a mentor and confidant to the group.
  • Ariana Madix returns hurt following her ex, Tom Sandoval, cheating on her.
  • James Kennedy has been expanding his DJ career and recently moved in with his girlfriend, Ally.
  • Katie Maloney is working hard to open her sandwich restaurant with Ariana as she navigates life post-divorce.
  • Lala Kent has struck up an unexpected friendship with Tom Schwartz, which has caused a rift between her and the rest of the girls.
  • Scheana Shay is navigating married life with Brock and a toddler as they leave the honeymoon period.
  • Tom Sandoval has been attempting to work on himself and start repairing his broken relationships.
  • Tom Schwartz embraces a new appearance change as he takes blows for helping his pal Tom in his affair with Ariana.

New Cast Members

  • Ally Lewber is focusing on becoming an astronomer attempting to find friendships in the group after she and James embrace suburban life.
  • Brock Davies has been testing out new dynamics as a family man

“And that’s funny to me because then cut to you know what had happened [with Scandoval], you think, well this guy is definitely the kind that is interested in friends.

“And so there are things that kind of lay the groundwork that I feel like people forget about.

“There’s so much incendiary stuff that went on behind the scenes that is always touched on in the show, but sometimes just not really extrapolated on.

“And I thought that was the most fun thing for me to explore in the book because when you see those things, then other things make more sense. It’s hard to remember 11 seasons of a show.”

Thea said she was not shocked to hear about Sandoval’s affair with Rachel having been close to the cast, while her sister had worked as Rachel’s pageant coach.

“It was very fun, slash disturbing when it all broke. I remember because my sister was Raquel’s pageant coach, and I was sitting with my sister that night and she was like, ‘Did you hear what happened?’

“I just think if the show hadn’t [have] been so great from the beginning it never would have taken off as much as it did, I think all the binging really like amped up that whole scandal.

“Just the things that happened on that show were so crazy. So it was really fun to watch people’s faces start from the beginning and say, wow, season one, season two.”

Meanwhile, production for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules has been postponed, according to reports.

Sources previously told TMZ that the network wanted to let the cast have a break in the wake of Scandoval and hoped it meant new drama would begin brewing away from the affair.

Andy Cohen explained on his show Watch What Happens Live that it is not uncommon to pause a reality show, saying, “We used to do this all the time with the housewives.

“We would say, ‘You know what? Let’s put cameras [down] for four or five months and come back to them and they will have lived their lives, things will be different.'”

Thea’s book, ‘The Unofficial Vanderpump Rules Ultimate Trivia Book‘ is available now on Amazon.

Cris Collinsworth begged to retire after ‘torture’ SNF performance and Mahomes ‘remarks’ – even though he wasn’t playing

NFL fans have begged Cris Collinsworth to retire after his latest broadcast on NBC.

The veteran analyst was alongside Mike Tirico for the Cincinnati Bengals against New York Giants.

Cris Collinsworth upset fans for some of his comments on Sunday Night Football[/caption]
NBC

The 65-year-old was in his usual Sunday Night Football slot for the 17-7 win for Joe Burrow‘s side.

But his performance on the broadcast had fans upset, with a number of his remarks annoying viewers.

It was feared he could reference Patrick Mahomes – even though the Kansas City Chiefs star wasn’t playing.

Fans at home have accused Collinsworth of favoring the MVP Super Bowl-winning quarterback in the past.

However, he let the Chiefs QB have a night off from being talked about.

SNF viewers were also put out to another wild remark about Giants star Dexter Lawrence.

He refereed to the 26-year-old nose tackle as ‘Sexy Dexy’ on air.

Collinsworth also talked about Josh Allen, again, even though he wasn’t playing.

This, along with Mahomes, and numerous other comments led to criticism on social media.

One said: “Cris Collinsworth calling a Bengals game is torture.”

A X user said: “Please retire Collinsworth. It’s about time.”

Another added: “Listening to Cris Collinsworth makes watching football games very unenjoyable.”

A third commented: “Sunday Night football. KC with a bye week.

“I thought Collinsworth might be better with no Mahomes. Nope still terrible.”

And a one said: “Cris Collinsworth gotta be trolling with the mahomes glaze.”

Patrick Mahomes' endorsements

Patrick Mahomes earns over $50 million per season from his Kansas City Chiefs contract.

But the superstar quarterback also cashes in on his brand off the field.

Mahomes has a reported net worth of $70 million.

And that’s in no small part down to some of the brand he endorses.

The Chiefs star is the face of Adidas in the United States and appears in State Farm commercials.

He also pops up on adverts for Subway and Head and Shoulders.

Mahomes also became the face of energy drink Prime, which is owned by Logan Paul and KSI.

Another replied: “Collinsworth will still find a way to glaze Mahomes tonight.”

But others defended Collinsworth, describing him as the best color commentator on TV.

“Collinsworth is far and away the best color commentator we have in the game,” one said.

Another added: “Cris Collinsworth is the greatest mouth on TV.

“Giants and Bengals played on Sunday both have losing record.

“Somehow he has these players heading to Canton.”

Collinsworth – a former NFL wide receiver – has been on NBC‘s Sunday Night Football since 2009.

Jay Slater investigator claims he knows REAL reason teen left Airbnb for doomed last journey as he makes shock U-turn

A JAY Slater investigator claims he knows the real reason the teen left his Airbnb on a doomed last journey.

Detective turned TV-sleuth Mark Williams-Thomas claims an answer on how Jay came to be lost in the mountainous Tenerife area could be revealed soon.

Jay’s family left heartbreaking tributes to him during the search[/caption] an advertisement for deadly ravine shows where jay slater 's body was found near where his phone last pinged

Williams-Thomas has been continuing to investigate the tragic death following Jay’s funeral last month.

Jay left an Airbnb in the village of Masca after he had partied there following a music festival in June.

The search made headlines worldwide after sleuths online tried to piece the Lancashire teen’s last moments together.

His body was found 29 days later, after he had tragically fell to his death sometime after leaving the Airbnb.

Williams-Thomas now claims to know the answer to two mysteries surrounding Jay: why he left the Airbnb and why he didn’t return.

In a post to X, he said: “Maybe, when the time is right, I will reveal those.

“I’ve got to be very careful. What I don’t want to do is upset the family with any more trauma than they have already had and so it would be something I would work very closely with Debbie and the family on to reveal that information.”

The former cop did not provide evidence but claimed he was working “closely with the family”.

Williams-Thomas has also made a surprise U-turn and revealed that information that came to him early in the investigation was not accurate.

Through mobile records and speaking to witnesses, Williams-Thomas said there were “considerable issues that existed” in the search.

He said: “One of the things that’s very clear is there is a huge amount of misinformation.

“I’ve been back and looked through some of the videos that I took when I went out there, in relation to my investigation and thought processes of whilst the investigation was going on.

“You find information out, you look at that, and then a couple of days later that information changes or is evidenced in some way.

“Some of the information that came to me in the early days wasn’t accurate and wasn’t correct and I needed to validate it.”

Williams-Thomas previously revealed why he thought Jay had decided to walk after a conversation with one of the other men at the Airbnb.

Spanish cops searched for Jay[/caption]

The search for Jay was hampered by amateur sleuths and conspiracy theorists who asserted wild claims and trolled the family.

Jay vanished on the morning of June 17 while on holiday on the Canary Island with two friends, Lucy and Brad.

He had travelled to an Airbnb in the remote Masca village with two men after leaving a music festival at a nightclub almost an hour’s drive away.

Later that morning he called Lucy to say he was thirsty, lost and had one per cent phone battery.

His mobile cut out at 8.50am near a hiking trail in the Rural de Teno national park — an 11-hour trek from his apartment in the south of the island.

Police spent almost two weeks combing the vast area with drones, helicopters and sniffer dogs before turning to a private search.

Jay’s desperate dad Warren, 58, and brother Zak, 24, also kept up the hunt – retracing Jay’s steps almost every day in the blistering heat.

In her first interview since Jay’s death, Debbie told The Sun…

The family were hounded by vile trolls and conspiracy theorists, who relentlessly peddled baseless claims online.

Mum Debbie slammed the trolls and called the misinformation they peddled nothing more than callous rumours.

After 29 days, Jay’s body was found on July 15 deep in a ravine close to where his phone last pinged a phone tower.

Dramatic images showed the moment a helicopter crewman was winched into the chasm with his arms aloft in the delicate recovery operation.

A post mortem conducted in the UK confirmed that Jay died because of traumatic head injuries, consistent with a “fall from height”.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Debbie said: “Jay was just a lovely boy with a massive personality.

“Everybody just loved Jay being in his company – family, friends and work.

“He was loving and popular, always full of fun and smiling – and the main guy in the group.”

Timeline of the tragic case

THE grim discovery of a body comes after weeks of agony for Jay’s friends and family. Here is how the events unfolded

Sunday, June 16: Jay and his friends party at the last day of NRG music festival being held at Papagayo night club in Playa de la Americas, Tenerife.

June 17 3-6am: Jay leaves with Ayub Qassim and another man for a £40-a-night Airbnb 23 miles away in the village of Masca.

7.30am: Jay shares a photo on Snapchat standing at doorway of the Airbnb.

8.50am: He calls pal Lucy Mae Law and says he is “lost in the middle of nowhere” with no water, a cut to his leg and one per cent on his phone.

Tuesday, June 18: Pals search area but no sign of Jay. Local cops and mountain rescue teams start official search. Jay’s mother Debbie Duncan flies to Tenerife.

June 19-20: Spanish police deploy drones, dogs and a helicopter, but find no trace. Search moves to Los Cristianos amid possible sighting, but it is ruled out and they return to Rural de Teno, near Masca.

June 21: Lancashire Police offer support but it is declined.

June 22: Mum Debbie issues emotional appeal to Jay saying “We just need you home.”

June 24: Claims of Jay sighting in Santiago del Teide — near to where he disappeared — and family believe a grainy CCTV image could be of him.

June 25: Debbie issues plea for her son to come home as more friends fly out and TV investigator Mark Williams- Thomas joins search.

June 29: Cops rule Mr Qassim, and other man at Airbnb, out of investigation.

June 30: Spanish cops officially suspend hunt but say probe “remains open”. His family continue to search.

July 15: A body is found by helicopter search team close to where his phone last pinged. His possessions are discovered next to human remains. Spanish cops say it points to an “accidental fall”.

August 5: Tenerife authorities confirm the body found in mountainous area of island is Jay’s.

August 10: Jay’s funeral is held at Accrington Crematorium, Lancs, with hundreds of mourners gathering to remember the “one of a kind” teen.

Millions of iPhones can unlock ‘car mode’ that tells people you’re driving – and can even reply to pals for you

YOUR iPhone may be one of millions with an easy-to-miss “car mode” designed for when you’re driving.

It has some extremely handy benefits, including the ability to automatically text your friends and family for you.

a phone screen that says driving focus on it
Apple
Driving Focus is designed specifically for when you’re behind the wheel[/caption]

The feature is called Driving Focus, and it’s a free Apple feature built into iOS.

However, it’s only available on iPhones that have updated to iOS 15 or later.

So check that first by going into Settings > General > Software Update.

Once that’s done, you’ll be able to start using Driving Focus.

HOW TO SET UP DRIVING FOCUS ON IPHONE

First you’ll need to set up the Driving Focus.

It’s a bit like a Do Not Disturb mode, but specifically for driving.

Go into Settings then choose Focus, tap on the Add button, and then choose Driving.

Then tap on Customise Focus, which will give you on-screen instructions for setting it up.

For instance, you’ll be able to choose whether to allow some notifications through the Focus.

For instance, you can add certain contacts that can break through your Driving Focus with phone calls.

And you can ask Siri to read message replies to you so you don’t need to physically look at your phone.

HOW TO TURN DRIVING FOCUS ON

To turn it on, simply go into the Control Centre (by swiping down from the top-right), touch and hold on Focus, then choose Driving.

If it’s worked, you’ll see the Driving icon – a small car symbol – appear in your status bar.

It’ll also show up in the Lock Screen, and your status will be shown in the Messages app too.

Apple
Once you’ve set Driving Focus up, you can easily activate it from the Control Centre[/caption]

That means when someone sends you an iMessage, they’ll be able to see that you’ve silenced notifcations.

However they can still override this and notify you if it’s urgent.

CUSTOMISE DRIVING FOCUS

There are several other Driving Focus tweaks you might want to make.

For instance, go into Settings > Focus > Driving and you can choose to have the feature active automatically.

a phone screen shows the driving focus notifications page
Apple
You can allow notifications from specific contacts, letting them break through your Driving Focus[/caption]

This can be done based on “detected motion”, or when you connect to your car’s Bluetooth.

Additionally, it can be activated when you connect to your car’s Apple CarPlay feature.

You can customise notifications based on specific contacts.

And you can also set up an auto-reply.

a phone screen showing the focus status settings
Apple
Your shared Focus Status will appear in conversations in the Messages app[/caption]

This will automatically reply to your contact favourites and people you’ve allowed notifications from.

It only works when you’ve got Driving Focus activated.

Once you turn it off, those auto-replies will no longer be sent.

Just go into Settings > Focus > Driving and choose Auto-Reply.

a phone screen shows the settings for driving focus
Apple
You can set up automated replies to specific groups of contacts[/caption]

Then select an option from the list:

  • No One
  • Recents
  • Favourites
  • All Contacts

You can then edit the automatic reply to let people know that you’re driving and you can’t respond right now.

Apple’s default suggestion is: “I’m driving with Focus turned on. I’ll see your message when I get where I’m going.”

AUTOMATIC DRIVING FOCUS – YOUR OPTIONS

Here are the official options for having Driving Focus turn on automatically, according to Apple...

  • Automatically: Driving will be activated based on detected motion.
  • When Connected to Car Bluetooth: Driving will be activated when your iPhone is connected to car Bluetooth devices.
  • Manually: Driving can be activated manually from Control Center.
  • Activate With CarPlay: Driving will be activated automatically when your iPhone is connected to CarPlay.

You can find these in Settings > Focus > Driving > While Driving.

My dad got me a signed photo of 7 astronauts – I was stunned when Antiques Roadshow said a document makes it worth $30k

ANTIQUES Roadshow has left the owner of a historic photograph stunned after an evaluation of its worth.

The picture included signatures from iconic NASA astronauts considered the very first tasked to further space exploration.

PBS
The owner of NASA memorabilia was left stunned over its worth[/caption]
PBS
He had a signed photograph from the members of the Mercury Seven[/caption]

Known as the Mercury Seven — Scott Carpenter, L. Gordon Cooper Jr., John Glenn Jr., Virgil “Gus” Grissom, Walter Schirra Jr., Alan Shepard Jr., and Donald “Deke” Slayton — were part of Project Mercury, per NASA.

The group was assembled in 1959 after a lengthy screening process and tests for hundreds of applicants.

Their mission was to operate a spacecraft around Earth’s orbit, observe human conditions, and arrive back safely.

It was a precursor to the Apollo 11 mission and America’s arrival on the surface of the Moon a decade later on July 20, 1969.

The owner of the photograph’s father had been a doctor working with the Air Force and NASA at the time and evaluated each of the members of the Mercury Seven during their training process.

His father obtained the picture and signatures as a gift to his sons.

“My father knew these guys,” he told Antiques Roadshow appraiser Philip Weiss during a 2009 episode.

A few of the members even came over to the owner’s home for dinner.

DIRE DOCUMENT

He also had a document for additional authenticity — his father’s medical itinerary for the examinations assigned to each member of the Mercury Seven team.

Weiss called the itinerary “wonderful” as it not only provided detailed information about the astronauts but even identified an eighth member who was cut from the mission.

“That adds significantly to the value of the picture,” the appraiser also emphasized.

Weiss said, considering the photograph itself, most of the signatures were still “strong” and visible, but some had a bit of fading from bright light.

While it would negatively impact the value of the rare collectible set slightly, the document made up for most of it.

Additionally, the market for space memorabilia would also affect the photograph and document’s worth.

Antiques Roadshow best finds

Antiques Roadshow has helped people put a price on their treasures since 1979. Here are some of the most interesting finds

WHAT’S IT WORTH?

During the filming of the episode, it was around the time of the anniversary of the Moon landing, so the desire for memorabilia was high.

Given all the factors, Weiss told the owner that the set would go at auction for anywhere between $3,000 and $5,000 but advised him to insure it for at least $7,500.

Now, 15 years later, the value of the items would’ve increased exponentially, according to Antiques Roadshow.

The 2024 value of the photograph and document of the Mercury Seven would be $20,000 to $30,000.

A former NASA worker found his model of an iconic rocket was similarly worth $30,000 after taking it to Antiques Roadshow.

The model was for the Apollo 11 mission, with signatures from over 15 astronauts.

Along with other memorabilia, including pictures of him inspecting the actual rocket, an appraiser said the set of items would be worth at least $85,000.

He had made the most of his team’s bye week by changing his hairstyle following their crushing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.

Sirianni returned with a buzzcut after shaving his head during the Eagles’ break from NFL action.

The 43-year-old had been under pressure going into Sunday’s game after only amassing a 2-2 record before the bye week.

Fans were quick to take aim at his new hairstyle on social media during the clash with the Browns.

Reacting to Sirianni’s bold new look, one fan wrote: “Man is trying to look different so the GM forgets what he looks like so he doesn’t get fired.”

Another added: “Doing everything except coaching good.”

A third fan also joked: “Doing his best Robert Saleh impression on his way out.”

Saleh was fired by the New York Jets last week after almost four years as head coach.

Despite the criticism of his new look, Sirianni saw the Eagles return to the win column on Sunday.

His team beat the Browns 20-16 at Lincoln Financial Field to improve to 3-2 for the season.

The Eagles are also up to second in the NFC East before their trip to face divisional rivals the New York Giants this weekend.

Sirianni has been head coach in Philadelphia since 2021 and took the franchise to Super Bowl LVII in 2023.

However, they were beaten 38-35 by the Kansas City Chiefs in Arizona.

Exact detail on the back of your nickel means it could sell for $4,800 at auction – check your spare change

COIN collectors are paying big bucks for a rare nickel with an interesting strike error.

The 1949-D Nickel is a rare coin that entered the production line a few years after the end of the Second World War.

Heritage Auctions
Coin collectors have been told to check their change to see if they own a 1949-D Nickel[/caption]
Heritage Auctions
Owners of the nickel could bag some serious money if the nickel has five steps on Jefferson’s primary plantation, Monticello[/caption]

The first Jefferson nickels came into American coinage history in 1938, and featured the profile of the eponymous Founding Father and third U.S. President Thomas Jefferson.

The 1949 coins were minted ten years later, shortly after WWII ended when the US tried to recover after war efforts and losses.

In 2021, the coin was sold at auction for an eye-popping $4,800.

However, eager coin collectors must make sure the nickel is from the Denver Mint and satisfies the full steps detail on the reverse of the coin at the base of Jefferson’s primary plantation, Monticello.

The stairway to the home must show at least five full steps in order for owners to be in with a shout of bagging the eye-popping cash sum.

COINING IT

Finding valuable coins could be as easy as checking your spare change.

This means inspecting your coins for rare pennies, nickels, dimes, and others as many of them could sell for thousands.

The most valuable coins are ones with a low mintage or an error, as collectors find those coins are some of the rarest.

The eBay site is a great resource to check if your coins are worth anything.

Just need to search the full coin name, select the sold listing, and then toggle the search to highest value.

It may also be helpful to get your coin graded by a third-party service.

This will likely reassure any coin collector that yours is legitimate which can add tons of cash to the price.

GRADE UP

Coin grading may seem complex, but understanding the basics can help you make better decisions when buying or selling coins.

Coins are assessed on a 70-point scale, where 1 represents the lowest condition and 70 signifies a perfect mint state.

The grading system uses terms like “Good,” which scores a low 4, and “Fine,” rated at 12.

However, grading considers more than just wear; factors such as luster, strike quality, and coloration can greatly impact a coin’s value.

How coins are graded

Coins are graded on a scale of one to 70, with one being the poorest grade, and 70 being the most pristine example.

Numbers 60 to 70 are generally the most sought-after by collectors and are known as Mint State coins.

Pieces that fetch thousands at auction are commonly found in MS67, MS68, and MS69 conditions.

An MS-70 is near-impossible to find among older coins.

As a result, two coins with similar wear may receive different grades based on these aspects.

Authenticity is vital, ensuring the coin has not been altered.

Reputable third-party grading services, like the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), provide expert evaluations, assign grades, and encapsulate coins in protective holders.

Utilizing these services enhances a coin’s credibility and marketability.

Coin grades range from Poor (1) to Mint State (60-70).

For example, a “Good” coin shows basic outlines of the design, while an “Extremely Fine” coin retains sharp details with minimal wear.

Mint State coins may display minor handling flaws but show no signs of circulation wear.

Moreover, grading services can identify proof coins, which are specially produced and graded differently than regular coins.

Brit boxer Ben Whittaker ‘smashes fan’s phone’ at airport & is hauled away by security hours after bizarre end to fight

BRITISH champion boxer Ben Whittaker was hauled away by airport security in Saudi Arabia for smashing a fan’s phone.

It came hours after the former Olympian, 27, drew his bout with Liam Cameron at the Kingdom Arena in farcical fashion on Saturday, having injured his leg on toppling over the ropes.

He was taken out in a wheelchair before punching a wall in frustration prior to being taken to hospital.

IBF light-heavyweight champion Whittaker was spotted walking through security at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh just after midnight this morning with his ankle bandaged.

A witness, who was at the fight and booked on the same Saudi Airlines flight to Heathrow, said he was in duty free when he saw the confrontation.

He told The Sun: “I spotted Ben Whittaker coming through security and then a fan who had a boxing T-shirt on went up with his phone and went to take a photo.

“Ben said ‘don’t take no photos of me’ and snatched the phone out of his hand and smashed it straight on the floor.

“Ben stepped towards him, looked like he was gonna punch him and some of Ben’s team jumped in between them and it got really heated – they were shouting at each other.”

The witness, who did not wish to be named, said airport security detained the pair.

He added that both men – with the fan aged around 30 and wearing merchandise from the fight – initially had their passports taken off them.

“It caused a big scene,” he continued.

“Ben said he would pay for the phone and they both were made to write down their details… and they were allowed to go on the flight.”

It is understood the pair quickly calmed down and swapped details.

The witness said, strangely, the pair were taken into a nearby coffee shop and wrote their details while sitting side by side at the same table.

Whittaker offered to cover the cost of the phone and they parted on good terms.

“They literally did it at the Costa or Starbucks in front of everyone,” he said.

The witness said Whittaker appeared to be hobbling a bit and his ankle was bandaged at the time of the altercation.

“When he went to the fan, he sort of forgot and had no problem running up to him. His face was lumpy and bruised from the fight.”

He said Whittaker was “fuming at first” but then calmed down once security were involved.

“He looked quite chilled out towards the end,” he added.

Whittaker told The Sun: “This was a really unfortunate event and I’m grateful to the gentleman that he sat down to talk about it straight afterwards and accepted my apology.

“Unfortunately I can’t comment further on the alleged video recording as I have not seen it.

“In any case, we are in touch about replacing his phone and coming along to a future event as our guest.”

During Saturday’s match, Whittaker and Cameron fell over the top rope at the end of the fifth round.

Cameron made his way back to his feet but Whittaker stayed down, clutching his right leg.

The fight – part of the Riyadh Season – IV Crown Showdown card – went to a technical decision with all three judges unable to come to an agreement.

Both boxers were then awarded a 58-57 score by two judges and 58-58 even by a third, resulting in the split decision draw.
