Yung Filly’s ex-pal LV General breaks silence on rape charge & says he’s ‘praying’ for YouTuber after bitter falling out

YUNG Filly’s former friend LV General has said he is “praying” for the rapper after he was charged with rape.

The YouTuber, 29, has been banned from leaving Australia after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman during his tour there.

Now fellow influencer LV General has broken his silence on his ex-collaborator, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos.

He wrote on Instagram: “Everyone please stop messaging me about what’s happened to Young Filly.

“He’s a grown man and he has to take responsibility for his own actions.

“I’ll be praying for man because Australian prison ain’t a joke – bare snakes and spiders and s***.

“I just hope this don’t backfire on his family.”

The pair worked together on YouTube videos for years before going their separate ways.

But after scoring millions of page views and amassing a huge online following, they stopped working together and have barely spoken in recent years.

LV said he and Barrientos are “not close” anymore and that they “moved in different directions”.

On the Wha Gwan Podcast last year, he revealed: “We’re not [close].

“We haven’t been friends since [a trip to] Thailand.

“He’s one of those guys that are more drawn to people doing big things so if you’re not popping he’s not really gonna hear from you.

“It’s just the way things have gone and he you’ve done it is wrong in my eyes.

“When I talk to him and we have that sit down, we can solve it then.”

On another podcast, LV said Barrientos used to be his “best friend” before he “turned in a different direction” and “pissed me off”.

LV’s comments come after Barrientos’ pal Chunkz told fans he would not be commenting on the case.

The 28-year-old told his Instagram followers: “Like everyone I’ve heard the reports coming out of Australia.

“While I understand many of you want my reaction on it, as this is an ongoing court case I hope you guys understand that I can’t and won’t be commenting on it publicly, so yeah I’ve just come on here to basically let you know the reasons as to why I can’t. Love.”

The pair were due to put on a live show of The Chunkz and Filly Show – their popular podcast and talk show – on October 18.

But Barrientos has been ordered to stay in Australia after he was arrested last week and charged with three counts of sexual assault.

He was also charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent and one count of impeding a person’s breathing or circulation by applying pressure to the neck.

Cops allege Barrientos – who was born in Colombia but moved to the UK as a refugee when he was a child – raped a woman in her 20s at a hotel in Perth on September 28 after a show the night before.

He continued his tour and last performed at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest in Brisbane last Tuesday.

Barrientos – who appeared on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 – was then extradited to Perth and was seen in handcuffs as he was marched through an airport.

Police say they have an “extremely strong” case that includes CCTV footage of the social media star on the night of the alleged offences.

His defence lawyer argued the victim was drunk at the time of the alleged ordeal on September 28, according to Channel 9.

Who is Yung Filly?

YUNG Filly’s rise to fame saw him start out as a social media star.

The influencer got his big break on YouTube before moving into mainstream TV.

Although he goes by Yung Filly, his real name is Andres Felipé Barrientos.

He was born on August 6, 1995, and moved to the UK from Colombia when he was two years old.

Filly then relocated to southeast London during his childhood.

When asked what it was like growing up in the capital, he told Indy100: “I come from the bottom of the barrel…and that’s why I’m so grateful for the position I’m in now.

“My mum definitely shaped me with the lessons she taught me.

“She’s a single mum with three kids, my dad was a s*** dad so she just had to make it happen.

“She did loads of cleaning jobs. My mum worked at Poundland at the time I had some mad BBC series…just getting my mum out of the position she was in was just the biggest motivation.”

Filly is best known for being a member of the comedy group known as The Wall of Comedy.

He is affiliated with fellow YouTuber Chunkz and the pair have collaborated on many videos and tracks.

Over the years, Filly has also taken part in The Sidemen‘s Charity Football Match, organised by members Josh Bradley, Simon Minter, Tobi Brown, KSIEthan PayneVikram Barn and Harry Lewis.

He appeared in court last week where the prosecution said his alleged victim’s body is marked “by a history of violent acts”.

Barrientos was bailed following his first court hearing after stumping up $100,000AUD (£51,000).

He is banned from leaving the state and must also report to Perth Police Station in Northbridge regularly.

A downcast Barrientos was seen reporting there for the first time on Saturday, dodging cameras as he made his way in and back out.

He wore a dark baseball cap and a cream hooded jacket with black shorts and trainers as he jogged past reporters to enter the building.

Barrientos remained inside for just five minutes before leaving and once again refusing to speak to the journalists waiting outside.

He was seen again on Sunday in an all black outfit arriving at the same station.

Barrientos will remain Australia until December when his second hearing gets underway.

He was rapidly dropped by several brands and companies including FootAsylum, the Football Association (FA), Heinz and ASOS, after news of his arrest broke.

Two iconic ex-Premier League ‘Barclaysmen’, 43 and 39, score within hours of each other as fans gush ‘game’s not gone’

HUGO RODALLEGA and Roque Santa Cruz both sent fans wild by scoring over the weekend.

Rodallega, 39, is still going strong in his native Colombia – nine years after leaving the Premier League.

While Santa Cruz plays in Paraguay at the age of 43, having left Manchester City in 2013.

Both strikers played a prominent role in the “Barclaysmen” trend that swept social media during the September international break, started by the Cultras Football Podcast.

So when it emerged that they are still doing the business, fans on social media were left thrilled.

Rodallega has played for Santa Fe since 2022 and frequently captains them.

He notched his 14th goal of the season on Sunday during his side’s 2-1 win over Patriotas.

Pointing out his goal, a social media user wrote: “We’re in 2024 and Hugo Rodallega is still banging them in. Great to see.”

To which a second gushed: “The games not gone.”

And a third joked: “wigan legend. now where tf is maynor figueroa, emerson boyce and jordi gomez.”

Who are these famous footballers?

Amazingly, it was then pointed out that Santa Cruz had scored as well.

On Saturday, the ex-Blackburn goal-getter was on the scoresheet as Libertad lost 2-1 against Trinidense.

Despite his advancing years he has played 35 times this season, scoring six goals.

Remarkably, he is not the only veteran striker to play for Libertad.

He is joined up top by Benfica and Paraguay legend Oscar Cardozo, who is two years his junior at 41.

When Cardozo rose off the bench on Saturday, Libertad’s striker duo had a combined age of 83 – along with 44 goals for their country.

Mrs Hinch fan reveals natural cleaning hack that’s ‘better than bleach’ for banishing mould from washing machines

MRS Hinch fans have shared a helpful hack for keeping your washing machine free of mould.

The cleaning fanatics revealed that a kitchen ingredient can work better than bleach for tackling bacteria.

Posting on the Facebook page Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It, one of her followers detailed the hack she uses to elevate her laundry process.

The woman’s method is an all-natural chemical-free alternative to bleach.

“While it’s possible to use bleach to kill mould as well, experts agree that vinegar is a much better option,” the Facebook user wrote.

She explained the difference between using the household ingredient and the cleaning product.

“Unlike bleach, vinegar can effectively kill the mould at the root, which means it’s even less likely to return,” she said.

“Vinegar is also less toxic than bleach, making it a better choice for household use. White [vinegar] is better.”

White vinegar is widely regarded as a versatile cleaning tool for your household.

As well as tackling mould in the drum of your machine, it can be added to the detergent drawer.

This allows it to de-scale any product build-up in the interior of your machine.

Simply select the hottest cycle setting and run your machine on an empty load.

You can also add a measure of white vinegar to your machine every time you do a wash.

Laundry experts recommend using the household staple in the place of fabric softener.

Simply pour about 50 mililitres into the fabric softener dispenser during your regular wash.

This will not only keep your machine free-of-mould but will also help soften your clothes.

Experts agree that the ingredient softens clothes by breaking down excess detergent.

Cleaning and household chores in numbers

Well Polished conducted a survey and the results are in!

Most Hated Household Chores

  • Cleaning the oven – 34%
  • Ironing – 15%
  • Cleaning the toilet – 10%
  • Washing the dishes – 5%
  • Decluttering – 4%

Most Liked Household Chores

  • Cooking meals – 21%
  • Decluttering – 12%
  • Hoovering – 11%
  • Doing the laundry – 9%
  • Tending to pets 8%

Men VS Women: Who Puts the Work In?

Men spend 7 hours 54 minutes a week cleaning.

Women spend 12 hours 15 minutes a week cleaning.

Vinegar is regarded as the better option for removing soap residue from your clothes.

It is also agreed as the superior choice for neutralising strong odours lingering on your clothes.

Due to it’s chemical-free nature, it is often dubbed the better pick for those with sensitive skin.

However, it will not leave your clothes feeling as fragrant and fluffy as fabric softener would.

Vinegar is also the cheaper option out of the two, especially when purchased in bulk.

They are free to watch, as long as you’re happy to watch adverts.

Rakuten TV Halloween is already live on the platform, having launched yesterday, and will be watchable until 4 November.

The channel will feature a spooky selection of films, like The Resurrection of Charles Manson and Jessabelle.

Tomorrow (16 October), Rakuten TV will also launch its Christmas channel, which will air festive classics until 8 January, 2025.

The channel will include titles like Christmas Eve and I’m Not Ready for Christmas.

Where can I watch?

Amazon Fire and Roku streaming stick owners can download the Rakuten TV app to watch both channels.

Though the Halloween station will also be available on LG Channels, Xiaomi and Vidaa.

Meanwhile, 100% Christmas will be on platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Xiaomi and Vidaa.

Christmas spirit

Rakuten TV 100% Christmas is the latest festive channel to hit screens, but has managed to escape outrage for arriving ‘too early’.

GREAT! Christmas launched on 5 September, a whole 110 days before the big day itself.

It’s the earliest the channel has ever launched, and was met with disbelief from viewers.

“Hold on we haven’t passed Halloween yet for Christmas,” one person wrote on X at the time.

Though others welcomed the channel, saying: “I don’t mind, I can watch Christmas films anytime of year, I don’t see why people think they should only be watched at Christmas.

“Of course though, the obvious answer is if you think it’s too early don’t watch, simples!”

I’ve styled royals and A-list celebs – ditch ripped jeans this Autumn but nab leopard print if you want to look chic

WITH Autumn well and truly here and the weather turning chilly, if you’re looking to give your wardrobe an upgrade you’ve come to the right place.

And if you want a look which is chic and neither dated or tacky, it’s time to take notes from a woman in the know.

We spoke to London’s most sought-after style expert, Oriona Robb, to get her top tips on how to look chic this season[/caption]

She claimed that loud logos and fakes have got to go[/caption]

That’s London’s most sought-after style expert, Oriona Robb, who knows exactly which items to nab this season, and which ones to leave on the shelves.

Oriona’s background includes transforming her love for customising jeans into a global fashion empire, dressing everyone from royals to A-listers.

After growing up in a small town in Poland Oriona moved to the UK in search of bigger opportunities and it’s clear that the fashion pro has made her mark.

She says the fashion world wasn’t waiting for her with open arms, but explains: “I didn’t have much, but I had my passion – and a pretty good sense of style.”

Her passion has seen her fly and her bold creativity and eye for detail caught the attention of some of the biggest names in fashion. Soon, she was styling for luxury brands like Burberry, Eurostar, and Ferragamo.

But Oriona didn’t stop there – her flair for fashion soon extended beyond brand collaborations – and she’s now styled royals, celebrities, and stars from around the world.

She’s not just a fashion consultant – she’s a fashion force.

Whether she’s dressing a royal for a red-carpet event or helping a busy mum rediscover their style mojo, Oriona’s mission remains the same: to make people feel unstoppable in what they wear.

She adds: “I believe fashion is about more than just looking good. It’s about showing the world who you are and feeling amazing while you do it.”

From blazers and sling-back heels, to wide leg trews and leopard print, Oriana reveals the trends and fashion classics that you can wear time and time again and which items to ditch.

Wardrobe must haves

Blazer

A blazer screams chic this season and it’s a must have for your wardrobe.

a woman holding a white jacket that says ' hugo ' on it
This Is It Marketing
According to Oriona, a blazer is a go-to fashion item this Autumn[/caption]

Oriona tells Fabulous: “A loose blazer or a well structured one, which you choose really depends on your style personality.

“You could have more of a classic style personality, or go a bit more avant-garde but either way a blazer is definitely my go-to, the best investment that you can have in your wardrobe.”

White shirt

If your wardrobe is missing a white shirt Oriona says there’s a shape and style to suit everyone this season.

She explains: “People sometimes think white shirts and they think of that kind of business look, but I would choose a white shirt that has got a little bit more structure to it.

“If you’re a bit more busty, choose a fabric that’s got a little bit more stretch, and that adds a little bit of femininity.

“A white shirt is definitely one of the classics.”

High-waisted jeans

When it comes to denim trends, Oriona says: “At the moment it’s all about high waisted or straight leg jeans. There are lots on the market.

Oriona's yes or no to Autumn 2024 trends

Burgundy
We’ve seen burgundy hues take over the high-street and according to Oriona: “Burgundy is for everyone.
“Every shop on the high street has got something in burgundy. It pairs really nicely with different colours, it is super easy to wear,” she says.

Leopard print
Similarly with leopard print, Oriona is a big fan: “Leopard print is very in this season and there are lots of prints at Marks & Spencer and Primark.
“But you just have to know what to pair it with and a personality to carry this trend through.”
“I think leopard print is staying.”

Slingback heels
When it comes to slingbacks, Oriona says they’re a great investment.
“They look really good with a pair of jeans and elevate an outfit, especially if they are a little bit pointed.
“They are everywhere at the moment – definitely an item that should be in your shopping bag.”

Waistcoats
Oriona is also a huge fan of waistcoats which she says are here to stay.
“I love waistcoats, especially leather ones.
“They’ve been back for two years now, and I think they are staying, they are personally on my list. I think they are definitely one to look into if you don’t own one already.”

Peplums
But when it comes to peplums, which have recently been spotted in H&M, Oriona explains: “They have that feeling of being something we wore ten years ago, but they are definitely having a moment of come back.
“I even spotted peplum belts with an extra frill at the back but the look is too feminine for me. It’s quite girly and has a romantic feel about it.”

Ballet flats

Similarly with ballet flats, Oriona adds: “They’re classic. I know they’re gonna have a comeback, but at the moment there are more Mary Janes than ballets, or I would go for ballets that have got a slightly thicker, or maybe pointier kind of finish to it.

“If ballet flats are not done correctly, it can look quite dated.”

Bright coloured trainers

If you aren’t sure which trainers to nab this season, according to Oriona, it’s all about the colourful, vintage look with the Adidas Sambas.

She says: “Vintage look trainers are coming back, and that would be my addition in very bright colours.

“So from blue, red, yellow, just to spice up jeans and knitwear.”

“Massimo Dutti has got a really gorgeous selection of that slightly higher waisted, straighter leg jeans – that’s what’s in at the moment.”

If your budget is more high street than high end then head to River Island, H&M and New Look who all stock great, more pocket-friendly options.

Leather trousers

And you’ll need to nab yourself a pair of leather-look trousers too because according to Oriona they add chic and elegance to every wardrobe.

“I go for either dark, so black, or very in at the moment is burgundy as well, and I have seen a really nice selection at Marks & Spencer,” she adds.

“I like to pair two different fabrics so if I go for leather trousers I would pair them with a really nice knit on top.”

Leather jacket

Whether it’s the biker variety or oversized, a leather jacket is a wardrobe staple which is sure to never go out of fashion.

She claimed that you can find leather jackets all over the high-street[/caption]

Oriana adds: “I absolutely love leather jackets. I saw a beautiful leather jacket at Mango.

“As soon as you pay for real leather obviously the price goes up a little bit, but Marks & Spencer have got a lovely selection as well.

“I would go maybe one size up, so you can put knitwear underneath.

“It’s one of these things that never goes out of fashion, either in black or chocolate.”

Wide leg trousers

In addition to high-waisted denims and leather trousers, Oriona stressed that wide leg trousers are a must.

a woman standing in front of a window with a stack of isabella books on a table
This Is It Marketing
Oriona stressed that wide-leg trousers are in[/caption]

Not only are they super versatile, but Oriona says: “Wide leg trousers are definitely in this season. There’s loads of them everywhere, from Primark and Zara to Marks & Spencer.

“They’re one of the most popular go-to trousers at the moment.

“With the wide leg higher waist, you can add a belt – this is how you start building that very simple, sophisticated outfit, so leather trousers, white shirt, and a blazer. It’s a kind of a bulletproof outfit for me.”

Knitwear

With the weather turning colder, Oriona says choose carefully when it comes to a knitwear.

She says: “Zara is doing this really lovely collaboration with Cindy Crawford at the moment, and they have a really gorgeous selection of very simple knitwear.

“With knitwear I will go for jumpers, cardigans, roll necks. It really depends on your style personality. There is something for everyone. But have a good selection.

“My suggestion would be to go for one of these colours that are trending right now so definitely burgundy, cream, chocolate, or you could go completely crazy with some kind of leopard print.”

Cardigans

What’s not to like about a cardigan which can be layered up or simply worn over a vest top.

Oriona says: “Cardigans are amazing – they allow you to create layers and also control your temperature.

a woman wearing a brown cardigan and tan pants
Cardigans are back in and are great for adding layers to your look according to fashion expert Oriona

“Depending where you are, you can add a layer or you can take it off.

“As it goes a little bit colder you can wear a roll neck, a shirt, and then add the cardigan to it.

“I would always play a little bit with the sleeves, so if you were wearing a shirt, you can get the sleeve out of the cardigan.

“You can play around with that, create layers, and play with different shades of the same colour.”

Black boots

Not only are cardigans in, but Oriona also says that investing in a pair of black boots is essential this season.

“Everybody should have a pair. There is something for everyone,” she says.

“I always start my outfit, or when I’m talking to my clients and creating their outfit, from the shoe.

“A boot can really elevate the look, and there is everything from ankle boots to over the knee boots that can really instinctively add that kind of va-va-voom to an outfit.

“There’s lots of different colours and vibrant colours, so you can have that white shirt, blue jeans, a blazer, and red boots, so straight away your shoe becomes your hero.”

Quilted jackets

If you don’t want double up with leather trousers and a matching jacket then a quilted jacket is a fabulous alternative.

“Quilted jackets are definitely back,” says Oriona. “They’ve literally been everywhere. Every season, there’s something slightly different about it.

“I would definitely take into consideration your body shape, and also how much layering you will be doing because that quilted look can create a bulky effect.

“Buying a quilted jacket that ‘s a little bit thinner so it flows slightly longer in the body will look less bulky than one which is cropped.

“I’ve seen really good ones at Marks & Spencer, Zara, Mango, & Other Stories, so I think it depends on the budget, but there is something for everyone.

“If it’s your investment piece for the season calculate how much it would cost per wear and invest in the best quality you can afford.”

Chunky scarf

To ensure you stay warm and cosy whilst looking super stylish this season complete your look with a chunky scarf.

She reveals: “A chunky scarf is a great accessory to add and here you can really play around with different texture, different colours.

“Even if you go for a neutral colour on the coat or a jacket, that will be something that can really lift your complexion.

“You can really use that as a tool to create a really lovely outfit.”

Time to ditch

Ugg boots

Whilst they’re incredibly popular Oriona says Ugg boots might have had their day.

a pair of brown boots on a white background

But unless you want to look like a teenager, it’s time to say goodbye to Ugg boots[/caption]

She says: “My suggestion is to go for something a little bit more refined.

“So instead of Ugg boots, I would probably choose a nice suede ankle boot, just to make it a little bit more elegant.

“I’ve seen the new ones with a really big platform. I kind of like them, but I prefer them on teenagers than adults.”

Tracksuit bottoms

And if it’s stylish that you’re after it’s time to ditch the tracksuit bottoms.

a green hoodie and sweatpants are hanging on a wooden hanger
Getty
She also explained that tracksuit bottoms should be left in the post-Covid era[/caption]

“We’ve done tracksuit bottoms. This was post-Covid era,” says Oriona.

“Let’s leave the tracksuit bottoms in the loungewear department and let’s wear jeans and high waisted trousers.

“As soon as you put something on that makes you feel better, I feel like you will perform better.

“Tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie and Ugg boots – it’s not gonna give you too much of a power statement.”

Ripped jeans, low-waisted denims and skinny

Whilst high-waist jeans are in, Oriona explained that three signature styles are out.

When it comes to ripped jeans, she says: “I personally dislike them. There are better choices at the moment on the market.

“Lower waisted jeans are out at the moment and skinny jeans are not very in either, so be looking for something a bit more baggier.”

Fakes

We all know that splashing out on designer items is something many of us can’t afford, but according to Oriona, you’re better off nabbing a dupe rather than a fake.

She shared: “I think when we wear fakes we are definitely taking away from the designers. You know, they spent a lot of time and a lot of money to create something. There is a lot of craftsmanship that goes into it.

“Saving money to buy something that is real is so much more rewarding than actually wearing fake things if you like something from a designer, for example, but can’t afford it.

“You can buy something similar, not exactly a fake version of that, but similar to it, but still, from brands that are quite respectful, quite sustainable.”

Loud logos

Similarly, when it comes to loud logos, you’ll need to say goodbye to them if you want a look that will turn heads this season.

Oriona says: “It’s not a choice I would go for. At the moment, the style is a little bit more minimalistic and a little bit more ‘old money’.

“I would suggest staying away from all the logos from very loud designers, and go for a little bit more quiet luxury.”

Fashion editor reveals the 90s trends that should stay in the past

NINETIES and noughties trends especially have become a hit with Gen Z - most likely because they didn’t wear them the first time round. Here, Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale gives the rundown of some of the trends that have made a comeback that we wish did not.

Disc belts

“A hit with celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Blake Lively, the belt itself did nothing that a belt should actually do – it was a mere fashion statement, not a piece to actually hold anything up.

“And it seems it’s not just me who is enraged by its return, with many taking to TikTok to give their views, saying: ‘Oh no not the disc belt! I don’t think I have the energy for it a 2nd time around’ – I feel you.”

Jelly shoes

“After not being seen on shelves for decades, they’ve made a reappearance and this time they’re not just for kids.

“Coming in a range of colourful patterns, you can get them all over the high street in either flat or heeled versions.

“Not only will you look very childish wearing such shoes, but people will also need to learn that they aren’t the comfiest – blister plasters will come in handy.”

Pedal pushers

“The cropped knee-grazing trouser were all the rage in the 1990s and 2000s, but this time the model fash pack are all over them – with both Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski wearing them out recently.

“The original IT girls, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot helped make the trousers – also called Capri pants – look effortlessly cool and glam.

“Somehow this time round they don’t seem to be having that same effect.”

I tried the K-beauty ‘wonder balm’ that replaces 13 products to save you £50 a month – it was slimy but worked wonders

MY bathroom cupboard is a graveyard of half-used beauty products that I’ve spent a fortune on.

So when I heard about a new balm that’s designed to replace 13 skincare products in one, I was intrigued.

But it didn’t live up to standard on EVERY part of my body[/caption]

Could this be the secret to curbing my skincare shopping habit?

I’m a firm believer that all your skin needs is a good cleanser, serum and moisturiser for the day, and a retinol for the night.

But in an attempt to simplify my beauty routine and save some cash, I ditched all of my beloved products for two weeks in favour of this new magic-potion-in-a-pot called the “wonder balm”.

The K-Beauty (the nickname for Korean beauty) brand Wonderbalm sells one product of the same name, which costs £29 for a 50g tub.

The brains behind the balm claim it is a serious multitasker – a moisturiser, serum, face mask and natural first aid kit for cuts, burns and scrapes, AND a hair mask and shaving balm… all in one single pot.

They even recommend using it as a lip balm, hand cream, cuticle moisturiser, make-up primer, make-up remover and eye cream.

But does it live up to the wondrous claims – and does it have the potential to save me thousands of pounds every year?

For the first few days, I was using it as a face moisturiser, eye cream, lip balm and to even soothe a few small scrapes.

I felt so greasy – but I soon realised that I was applying far too much.

In fact, the balm is even better value for money than I initially anticipated because you really do require so little of it.

As a lip balm, it worked a treat. It worked just as well as the viral £19 Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, but for a fraction of the price.

The texture is rich, but absorbs surprisingly quickly, meaning I always woke up with a supple pout without balmy residue on my pillow case.

By day five, I had started using Wonderbalm for more purposes.

As I suffer from eczema, I had to ensure my skin wouldn’t react with the balm before putting it on flare-up patches.

What exactly IS K-beauty?

K-Beauty describes skincare products created with a Korean beauty philosophy in mind, according to Healthline.

A standard Korean skincare routine focuses on prevention and protection to keep the natural complexion thriving.

The number of steps in daily beauty routines can vary but 10 is the most common.

From cleansers, toners, and serums, to moisturizers, K-beauty avoids the use of harsh ingredients that can damage the skin.

Glass skin is commonly used in Korean beauty to describe an appearance that’s “smooth, clear, and intensely hydrated.”

When I did, they felt instantly soothed with zero irritation – and were significantly less inflamed after a day or so.

I soon figured out that the excess worked great as a hand cream, and even my nail technician noted that my cuticles were more hydrated when I saw her during the experiment.

One week in, I was feeling over confident… and made a grave error.

I used the Wonderbalm as a primer and ended up looking like a sticky toddler who’d gone to town on my mum’s make-up bag

It caused my foundation to separate and my lipstick to bleed past my lip border, so I ended up having to wash my whole face off and start again – this time, without a balmy base.

After seven days, it was also time for my weekly hair mask – and that was a total flop, too.

I typically use the £8.99 Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food 3-in-1 Dry Hair Mask Treatment to keep my tresses shiny.

This product comes in a huge tub and is super easy to spread evenly throughout the hair.

Unfortunately, trying to spread Wonderbalm throughout my hair felt as tedious as coating every stand individually, as it didn’t spread as well through hair as it does on the face.

By the two-week mark, I had found a solid rhythm with my Wonderbalm.

Skincare, bodycare and hand cream? Yes.

Make-up primer and haircare? Big no.

The Verdict

Wonderbalm really deserves all its kudos when used for skincare purposes.

It’s super hydrating and locks in any hydration, which I reckon is thanks to the candelilla wax’s excellent moisture-locking abilities.

And while I think I’ll still stick to my trusty Byoma cleanser, serum and moisturiser, I’m not planning to purchase any new cuticle oils, face masks or overnight lip balms.

Instead, I’m going to keep a tub of Wonderbalm at the front-and-centre of my beauty cabinet.

In terms of money, I have to admit that I don’t think it will save my bank account totally.

But I do reckon it’ll save me at least £20 a month for the rest of this year.

I never understood Cristiano Ronaldo’s seven-word piece of advice to me – it’s taken me four years but now I get it

DEJAN KULUSEVSKI has revealed the seven-word piece of advice given to him by Cristiano Ronaldo — which has only just sunk in four years later.

Tottenham star Kulusevski and Al-Nassr ace Ronaldo graced the pitch together for Juventus during a brief spell in the 2020/21 campaign.

Winger Kulusevski was hailed as Juve’s next bright spark.

While Ronaldo continued to bang in the goals as their striker ahead of a shock return to Manchester United.

Both men are now continuing to forge their own path, with Kulusevski eager to replicate Ronnie’s success in the Premier League.

And he is now taking to heart a piece of advice given to him by the Portuguese great all those years ago.

Ronaldo loves dishing out tips and tricks to talented youngsters, having been one himself at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.

And he gave Kulusevski a seven-word hint that the Swede is only now beginning to understand.

Tottenham’s midfield ace said: “To not be satisfied with being good, but to be the best every day. That’s the only thing that matters. As hard as it is to try to be the best.

“I think that you learn over time, that you begin to understand much more about how the world and the brain work. You can’t be 17 and know everything.

“Yes, I always change. I’m starting to get to know my body. When I was younger, I didn’t understand when Ronaldo told me: ‘You will get to know your body’. Because I didn’t know my body then.

“But now I’m starting to understand my strengths and weaknesses, how I can improve. So I feel like everything is getting easier.

Ronaldo previously criticised Man Utd youngsters for not listening to him[/caption]

“I know how to train the day before a match, two days before a match, what to do when I’m tired and so on. All the little details that in the end make a big difference.”

However, not all future footballers have taken Ronaldo’s words of wisdom on board.

After leaving United two years ago, he famously blasted their current crop of youngsters for not listening to him during his second spell.

He told Piers Morgan: “It’s a little bit of a shame because they have the best examples in front of their eyes, and they don’t at least copy what you did.

“For me it’s weird because I always looked to see the best players in Ruud van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs — that is why I have the success that I have and the longevity.

“They don’t care, some of them yes but most of them no. They’re not going to have longevity, it’s impossible.”

Ronaldo also told ex-teammate Ferdinand for that reason, he has no intention of becoming a coach.

He said last month: “For me it will be difficult one day to be a coach, because I don’t have passions for this generation.

“It’s difficult, especially in football, because they don’t take advice by our experience.

“They think they know everything, they think the phones will give you good education, TikTok, Instagram.

“I have other things to worry about, another chapter of my life that is a business part that I’m excited about.

“It will be a challenge to me and learn other areas I don’t know, be more involved in my business and I think will be good.”
