Rocket left wing Vincent Arseneau was left with a gruesome injury after a brawl with Crunch star Kale Kessy.

Officials had to separate the pair before either of them fell to the ice, with one of Arseneau’s fingers appearing to be bent the other way afterwards.

The 32-year-old could then be seen snapping it back into place as he made his way to the penalty box.

Despite attempting to correct his injury, the Canadian did not return to the action as his side went on to win 5-2.

He also missed the rematch between the two teams on Saturday, which the Rocket also won 1-0.

Fans were left stunned by the incident on social media after Friday’s clash.

Reacting on X, one supporter wrote: “That’s a hockey player right there.”

Another added: “Tell me you’re a hockey player without telling me you’re a hockey player.”

Veronika Murashkina was desperately waiting for a transplant after she was involved in a horror car crash a few years ago that left her fighting for her life.

The accident in 2020 left the glamour model’s leg badly mangled and forced Veronika to live the past four years bedridden.

This quickly caused her immune system to weaken as she went on to develop a life-threatening lung disease.

She was put on an urgent waiting list for a transplant but tragically passed away just days before the operation was scheduled.

Her death was officially confirmed on Thursday, October 18.

A friend of Veronika’s told local media: “After the serious accident, her leg was literally put back together piece by piece.

“She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered.

“It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her.

“Veronika was on the waiting list for a transplant, but she did not live to see it.

“This bright person passed away tonight.”

Veronika first rose to fame when she appeared in the fifth season of The Bachelor in 2017.

The hit show by Russian TV network TNT made her a household name in Russia as she battled against a number of other women for the heart actor Ilya Glinnikov.

It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her

Veronika's close pal

Veronika was born in Toguchin but lived much of her life in Russia‘s capital of Moscow.

She managed to earn herself an economics education before becoming a full-time model.

Her biggest role saw Veronkia make it into an issue of Playboy in 2017.

Pictures show the blonde beauty wearing yellow bunny ears and a matching bodysuit along with the classic Playboy cuffs, bow tie and tail.

In August 2020 her life was crushed after she was hit by a drunk driver as she returned home to Toguchin to see her family.

A speeding driver lost control of his car and smashed into Veronkia and her group of friends.

Veronika was left critically injured and spent months in hospital undergoing treatment.

It left her modelling career in taters as the 31-year-old picked up handcrafting instead.

Ronnie O’Sullivan pulls out of third successive tournament as he withdraws from Northern Ireland Open at last minute

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has pulled out of the Northern Ireland Open.

The seven-time world champion made the move due to medical reasons.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has pulled out of the Northern Ireland Open, marking the third event in a row he has withdrawn from[/caption]

The Belfast event started yesterday.

But O’Sullivan‘s withdrawal marks the third straight tournament he has missed out on.

It comes after he sat out the British Open and the Wuhan Open.

The World Snooker Tour confirmed the news on Sunday.

As a result of the withdrawal, his first-round opponent, Long Zehuang, was handed a bye into the round of 32.

The Rocket had lost three previous Northern Ireland Open finals to Judd Trump between 2018 and 2020.

O’Sullivan had also withdrawn from last year’s event due to medical reasons.

The world No5 has not played competitively since being knocked out of the first round of the English Open on 17 September – which saw him harshly brand himself “useless” and “embarrassing”.

O’Sullivan has hinted at retirement several times this year.

He recently announced a new side hustle by opening a snooker academy in Saudi Arabia.

O’Sullivan also revealed how he would have pursued a career in motorsport if he never pursued a career in snooker.

You can find all the latest updates on the Northern Ireland Open by reading SunSport’s snooker blog HERE.

Inside Ronnie's colourful career

FROM his lightning breaks to blasts at officials, Ronnie O'Sullivan has fired snooker into the spotlight.

The seven-time world champion makes almost as big an impact away from the table as on it.

O’Sullivan has three children – two daughters and a son.

And the Rocket’s on-off relationship with British actress Laila Rouass has also hit the headlines.

He has opened up on battles with his weight and addiction.

While the controversial cueist reckons he wasted NINE YEARS of his career by partying too hard.

Despite being worth £14million, O’Sullivan is renowned for his love of canal boats and snubbing flashy cars.

His rivalry with fellow star Judd Trump has been branded ‘snooker’s greatest feud’.

And Ali Carter had his nose knocked out of joint by the Rocket in their infamous ‘Snotgate’ row.

TikTok’s morning shed skincare routine and benefits explained – and why Kayla Lee Mills has millions of video views

TIKTOK’S latest viral skincare craze has been about taking the layers off rather than adding more steps to people’s regimes.

Morning shed has captured the internet’s attention and given influencers like Kayla Lee Mills millions of views on their TikTok video.

What is the TikTok morning shed trend?

Morning shed is when people apply several treatments and products to their faces before bed and remove them all in the morning.

These routines include more than just typical skincare products like moisturizers and serums.

The morning shed trend uses chin straps, mouth tape, and hair coverings, which make someone nearly unrecognizable before bed.

Therefore, the removal of these items has become known as the morning shed.

How can I participate in the TikTok morning shed trend?

The idea of this routine is to wake up looking refreshed and younger.

This has included face tapping where people use kinesiology tape on their foreheads or around their eyes to prevent wrinkles.

Other products used have been silk bonnets, to reduce hair frizz, and jaw straps to tighten the skin in that area.

Morning shed health benefits

Mouth taping has been the most common morning shed practice.

This is when people use a piece of body tape to shut their lips, encouraging them to breathe through their nose rather than their mouth.

Dermatologist Dr. Nava Greenfield told well+good that the trend did not have scientific backing and could potentially be dangerous.

“Not only is the theory behind its effectiveness is not compelling, but there’s also a lack of data to support its use, and the trend may even be harmful,” the dermatologist said.

Dr. Greenfield also explained how the viral process of mouth-taping could cause sleep issues.

“Taping one’s mouth closed at night prevents normal physiologic changes in breathing patterns,” the dermatologist said.

What have TikTokers like Kayla Lee Mills said about the morning shed trend?

Influencer Kayla Lee Mills (@kaylaleemills) received over five million views on her morning shed TikTok video.

Another trend can either be an artsy activity or a date night disaster.

Her routine consisted of a jaw strap, hair roller, silk bonnet, eye masks, and mouth tape.

She acknowledged how social media trends had influenced her routine.

“I fear I might be spending too much time on this app,” she said in her video.

Mills’ comment section was divided on her interesting routine and almost-amusing wake-up look.

Rebecca Sudwarts, a fashionista who is five foot eight and in between a size 14 and 16, was lucky enough to get her hands on a range of must-have Autumn/Winter buys from Primark, including a pair of boots that are ‘so comfy and warm’.

Not only this, but she also nabbed jeans and jackets that are great for winter too.

So if you fancy treating yourself to some new clothes, but are on a budget and can’t afford to splash too much cash, then you’ll need to run down to Primark, and fast.

The curvy fashion fan, who is from the UK, took to social media to share her honest thoughts on her new Primark haul, leaving many very impressed.

Posting online, the ex Senior Fashion Buyer kicked off her haul and said: “I’m back with a great Primark haul. I’m so impressed with Primark’s footwear at the moment, you’re going to be so impressed with what’s in these bags.”

First things first, the content creator tried on a grey long-sleeved top and a pair of blue straight leg jeans, as she beamed: “This jersey body is £7 and it’s a really lovely, lightweight quality, you wouldn’t get too hot in it and it would be a perfect layer to wear under knitwear and coats.

“I’m such a fan of Primark jeans, these are £16. They’re 100% cotton, they’re really nice quality and they don’t feel too tight, you could wear them all day. I think they’re super flattering.”

She also showed a pair of new boots, as she added: “How cute are these boots? £22, a teddy borg.

“The insole is really sturdy, it’s padded and super warm and cosy.”

Following this, she tried on a £38 brown coat, as she continued: “I managed to get my hands on this coat – I love the colour.

“I really like how it falls open, but done up, it’s a nice shape.”

Rebecca also showed off a £21 knitted bomber jacket, as she explained: “I then saw this knitted bomber which I love.

“It does contain some wool, it’s a really nice quality, thick, it would keep you super warm in the winter.”

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

For more information about how Primark keeps their costs so low, and are able to deliver such amazing bargains, visit the Primark website.

The influencer was thrilled when she modelled a £19 cardigan, as she expressed: “This cardigan caught my eye, I love the brown and the grey colour combination.

“It’s got quite a premium handwriting for Primark. It layers perfectly over the jersey body.”

The best Primark buys for autumn 2024

Autumn is upon us, and it's time to make some additions to our cosy wardrobes.

Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top 5 buys from Primark this Autumn.

The Edit Overcoat, £60

I know what you’re thinking, ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes it’s a higher price tag than we’re used to from Primark but its worth every penny.
It’s from their Edit range which is more premium than the rest of their collection and it’s made to last.
It’s a mixed wool blend which is durable and warm, plus its a timeless straight silhouette which is slightly oversized and will last you not only this season but for many after.

Extra Large Croc Effect Shopper, £16

Big bags are back… In a big way, finally.
This tote screams luxury with its croc effect and burnt orange colour, plus its great for shoving in your laptop, lunch, spare shoes, purse – essentially everything you need for the day – all for £16.

Rita Ora Worker Jacket, £32

Field jackets are on the backs of celebrities and catwalk models this season with designer brands Barbour, Burberry and Bottega all championing the utilitarian look.
They’re great for chucking over jeans or contrasting with a floral or floaty dress and are the perfect transitional jacket.

Square Neck Leopard Midi Dress, £18,

You may have seen, heard and read that leopard print isn’t going anywhere for autumn, so to encapsulate the trend this dress is a must.
Sleeves? Check. Midi length? Check. Ultra flattering square neck? Check. It’s got it all.
Pair with black knee high boots or your favourite trainers for the day and dress up with gold heels and accessories for the evening.

Barrel Denim Jeans, £16

Barrel, balloon, horseshoe – whatever you want to call them, they are the must have trouser shape of this season.
I’ve tried Primarks pair and they fit like a dream, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you think you have nothing that hits the trend mark, swapping your go-to denim for this shape will bring you bang up to date.

She also nabbed a £36 faux suede bomber, which left her beaming: “It feels very, very heavy. It would keep you super warm, the quality inside is really nice.

“I think this is such an amazing coat for the price, I love the little buckle detail.

“It’s an incredible colour, a really good colour for the season.”

Primark's history

PRIMARK first opened in 1969 as Pennies in Dublin, hoping to provide affordable fashion in Ireland.

A Primark store officially opened as Primark in 1974 in Derby.

The retailer now has 193 stores across the UK and 441 stores worldwide with a goal of running 530 stores by the end of 2026.

And to finish off her haul, Rebecca tried on a pair of £18 boots, which she thought would be great for Ugg fans, as she shared: “I absolutely love these. They are fully fur lined.

“They have a padded insole, they feel so comfy and so warm.

“A really nice alternative to Ugg boots.”

FASHION FANS DIVIDED

The Instagram clip, which was posted under the username @stylingwithrebecca, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly racked up 236,000 views.

But social media users were left divided by Rebecca’s clip, in particular by the Primark boots.

Love a Primark coat

Instagram user

Whilst many “loved” the jackets and cardigan, others weren’t keen on the footwear.

One person said: “I love the cardigan.”

A big fat no to the fluffy boot things

Instagram user

Another added: “Loving the jackets.”

A third commented: “Love a Primark coat.”

However, at the same time, one fashionista wrote: “Boots are awful.”

A second agreed: “I’m sorry it’s a big fat no to the fluffy boot things.”

Whilst someone else admitted: “I couldn’t watch the video cause I was too busy looking in horror at the boots.”
