Even while he’s behind bars in Manhattan for all the misconduct allegations against him, P Diddy’s controversy isn’t dying down. If anything, with each passing day, new fuel is being added to the fire as Sean Combs continues to be embroiled in backlash. That said, the latest addition has been made by none other than Jennifer Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa.
An actor cum producer known for pieces like 2007’s Eye See Me, Noa recently spoke up about the time he was married to the boss babe, from 1997 to 1998. And, apparently, the 50-year-old celeb seems to believe that one of the biggest reasons why his marriage with Lopez couldn’t last longer than a year was the singer cum actress’ phase with the now-disgraced music mogul.
Ojani Noa Alleges P Diddy for Failed Marriage with Jennifer Lopez
In February 1997, bossy babe Lopez tied the knot for the first time with Cuban actor cum producer Ojani Noa, and the pair seemed to be happily in love. But then the singer catapulted to extraordinary heights of fame and success and became a megastar, which eventually ended up with the pair separating only 11 months after getting married (via US Magazine).
Now, Noa seems to claim that one of the major contributors to their short-lived marriage was none other than Sean Combs. This happened during a recent interview with Despierta America, where Noa came clean about the time he and Lopez were together and when they decided to go for a divorce. Noa declared in Spanish, “Part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault.”
As per Page Six, it all started when Lopez landed her musical deal with Sony, which brought her affiliation with Combs. “When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy [Combs], who was going to be one of the producers of several tracks on the first album ‘On The 6,’” Noa candidly claimed. “That’s where the deception, the lies, the separation started.”
Back then, Noa was in Los Angeles, working on opening his restaurant. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez was between Miami and New York, as per Noa, busy working on her album. But this distance ostensibly didn’t sit well. As Noa added, “When I could, I would go to be with her. There, in that distance, in that separation, was where the deception started.”
Apparently, Ojani Noa seems to be brutally blaming the already-suffering controversial P Diddy for the shortcomings in his marriage with Lopez, which eventually ended in a divorce within less than a year. What’s worth noting is that the Selena actress is also reported to have dated Combs from 1999 to 2001. But that’s not all, for Noa had further allegations for Lopez to spill.
Ojani Noa Blames Split with Jennifer Lopez for His Career Downfall
Continuing with his series of allegations against Despierta America, Noa went on to further accuse his ill-fated betrothal with the singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and businesswoman all in one for leading his career down the drain by sabotaging his chance at numerous jobs. In a candid moment of breaking down about it all, he said about JLo:
I would ask Jennifer, ‘What did I do to you so that you have taken me to court, you have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work?’ Why, if I have not done anything to you? Let her tell the truth, let her tell everything that happened.
While her marriage with Noa was only her first, Jennifer Lopez has since gone on to marry four more times. However, none of them seem to have worked, considering how even her most recent (and fourth) marriage with Ben Affleck has ended in a divorce, the proceedings of which she currently seems to be navigating amidst these exclusive allegations from her ex.
Sean Combs, on the other hand, is ostensibly having a harder time with his legal woes as he currently serves time behind bars after a federal court in Manhattan unsealed charges of him having allegedly “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill s-xual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct” (via Forbes). And this exclusive set of allegations, in the meanwhile, won’t be doing him any good either, for sure.
