MAGGIE Sajak, the daughter of former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, has shown a glimpse of her dad’s life post-retirement.
Pat, 77, stepped down from hosting Wheel of Fortune earlier this year after spending over four decades on the game show.

On Wednesday, Maggie, a social media correspondent for WoF, shared an update on her dad’s recent activities.
The Instagram Story photo showed Pat standing poolside as he posed shirtless in red swim trunks.
Pat’s hair was ruffled as if he had just taken a dip in the luxury pool.
The 29-year-old wrote then roasted her dad and called him out for just “sitting” in the water.
“Swimming… If sitting in the shallow end counts as swimming,” she wrote over the shot.
PAT’S NEW PASTIMES
The photo came shortly after Maggie addressed fans’ questions in an IG Story video.
“Everyone’s been asking me what my dad has been up to recently,” Maggie said.
“So, I wanted to share with you all some of the highlights. Enjoy.”
She first uploaded a video of her dad at a Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Baltimore Orioles game, saying he’s been “watching lots of baseball.”
Maggie next shared a photo of Pat sitting in a chair reading a History of the World book.
“Doing some light reading… He loves looking at the pictures!” she wrote.
Next was a selfie of Pat in the car with a puppy on his lap, to which his daughter added, “Babysitting… But his rates are outrageous.”
A following shot showed Pat standing in a kitchen in front of nine large, meat-stuffed hoagies.
“Cooking… dinner for one!” she joked.
Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline
Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts
Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981
He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)
Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since
After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982
Pat hosted with Susan for one season
He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS
For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place
In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS
He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991
The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future
In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement
The last upload showed Pat sticking out his blue tongue after Maggie asked for his review of a blueberry cobbler at dinner.
Pat’s last episode of WoF aired on June 7, which was met with an emotional goodbye from the longtime host.
“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” he told viewers.
“I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with all watching out there,” Pat continued.
“It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.

“What an honor to have played even a small part in all of that. Thank you for allowing me into your lives.”
He went on to thank the entire WoF staff, his co-host, Vanna White, and all the contestants he had met over his 43 years on the show.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR WOF
Following Pat’s retirement announcement last year, it was revealed that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, 49, would be stepping into his shoes.
The news was met with mixed reactions, with many fans unsure of the replacement.
Many even penned for Maggie to take over her father’s role, as she is already connected to the show.

Maggie has also been on the WoF set since childhood, making her debut back in 1996.
Longtime letter-turner Vanna, 67, will still co-host the longtime game show.
While Vanna was expected to leave with Pat, she recently told The New York Times she wasn’t quite ready to hang up her heels and “play golf every day.”
“Fortunately, I’m healthy, I’m active and I can still walk in those six-inch heels and I still wear those dresses,” she said.
After its summer hiatus, Season 42 of Wheel of Fortune will premiere on Monday, September 9.
The new season will feature a new set, including a laser-run letter board.
