Fed up with the boss? Just take a nap.

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of how to defeat Seismic Talus in the latest installment in the The Legend of Zelda series, a few helpful tips upfront that will help you survive this pebbly beast.

You’ll see a few pots in the area. Break these to find a health boost whenever you need it.

This isn’t the only way to replenish hearts. Whenever the boss has both his hands on the floor, it gives you a short moment of reprieve where you can summon a bed and press A to rest. This will slowly replenish your hearts.

Besides your HP, you also need to keep an eye on your Energy level. In certain moments and every time he throws his fist, you’ll find blue Energy spheres floating in the air. Make sure to always pick them up to replenish your fuel to be able to go into Swordfighter Form.

You can also keep summoning the Darknut fighter to help you in battle and distract the boss.

How to Avoid Seismic Talus’ Attacks

Avoiding Seismic Talus’ Spinning Attack is crucial to survive this boss in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Seismic Talus has three main attacks you should keep an eye out for.

Fist Throw: You can see this when he pulls back one arm. In that moment, get away from the area he’s facing, as that is where he’ll send his fist flying.

Slam Attack: In another attack, he slams his hands on the ground. You can see this coming when he holds both hands up. This attack covers a large area, so it’s best to move towards his side or behind him.

Spinning Attack: His spinning move is the most dangerous and almost covers the entire room. Whenever you see him holding both his hands to his sides, and they start to glow, quickly run towards a corner to avoid it.

How to Kill Seismic Talus in Three Stages

Smack the glowy orb to beat the boss.

The fight takes place in three stages. You have to aim at the purple glowing rock, which will move its location on his body in each stage:

  • 1st stage: You’ll find his weak spot underneath his body
  • 2nd stage: You’ll see it on his right shoulder
  • 3rd stage: His weak spot is now on top of his head

As with any challenge in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you can go about this in different ways.

Each time the boss presses his hands on the ground, you can transform into Swordfighter Form and hit the purple weak spot with everything you have to release it from its body.

Alternatively, you can use the Bind ability by targeting the orb with ZL and pressing X. You can then move backward to pull it out of his body.

When the orb is released, keep dealing damage together with a summon.

Once the orb has been released, summon a Darknut, and turn into Swordfighter yourself, and together you can hit it as much as you can. You’ll have to do this in each of the stages until you’ve caused enough damage for Tri’s friends to be released.

As a reward, you’ll receive a full Piece of Heart and five unusual crystals. Tri will level up, allowing you to summon one more Echo.
