But before you reach for a change of clothes or start wasting baby wipes, there’s actually a foolproof way to banish deodorant white cast.

In fact, the hack is already hanging in your wardrobe.

A reporter has shared how she quickly removes deodorant marks from her tops using a velvet clothing hanger.

Alison Hall is a correspondent and producer at America’s longest-running syndicated national news magazine, Inside Edition.

And thanks to spending lots of time in front of the camera, she knows how to make sure her clothes look fresh 24/7.

When white deodorant marks appear on her tops, she simply rubs a velvet hanger over the stain.

The soft, textured surface of a velvet hanger makes them surprisingly effective at removing white cast.

Unlike harsher fabrics or sponges, velvet is soft enough to avoid damaging your clothes while still having enough texture to lift away the deodorant residue.

It’s a gentle yet effective method, making it perfect for delicate fabrics as well as everyday wear.

Alison shared the hack in an Instagram video and dubbed it the “most random yet helpful thing she’s ever posted”.

“White stains from deodorant drive me crazy,” she added.

“Until I realised my velvet clothing hangers work wonders.

“Do you know this trick?”

People were quick to dub the hack a “game changer” and said it has “saved them 50 baby wipes”.
