However, the father of his ex-partner, the late Kim Porter bashed the rapper for his actions and even wondered how he would have treated his daughter.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was first accused of s*xual assault and r*pe by his ex-partner Cassie Ventura in 2023. Though the rapper denied it, the lawsuit was reportedly settled a day after it was charged. Ventura had reportedly detailed many of the alleged abuses she faced from his hands, which included assault, r*pe, coercion, and more (via The Cut).
Earlier this year, a surveillance video of Diddy attacking Ventura outside a hotel went viral on the Internet. It reportedly resembled one of the instances that Ventura had detailed in her lawsuit. Diddy went on to apologize for the video and mentioned that he was ashamed of his actions (via People).
However, the video of the attack seems to have angered Diddy’s previous partner, the deceased Kim Porter’s father. Jake Porter reportedly told Rolling Stone that he was disgusted by Diddy’s actions and said that he would never do something like that to his worst enemy. He also wondered what his late daughter might have gone through with him.

Porter and Diddy shared three children, with the rapper adopting Porter’s son Quincy from a previous marriage. His children have yet to make a statement about the allegations.
Kim Porter And Diddy’s Alleged Abusive Relationship Revealed In A Fake Memoir
Kim Porter and Diddy reportedly had an on-and-off relationship for over a decade since 1994. The couple reportedly broke up in 2007 after Porter got to know that Diddy had fathered another child with another woman. The model told People Magazine that she was pregnant with his twin children at the time.
Porter and Diddy’s relationship has often been marred by a lot of controversies. Kim Porter passed away in 2018 due to complications related to pneumonia (via NBC News). However, the allegedly tumultuous relationship between the two was recounted in a tell-all memoir independently published by an investigator named Chris Todd.
Published days before Diddy’s recent arrest, the memoir was promoted to be written by Porter herself, which Todd said he received in a flash drive from two music industry members close to the couple (via Vanity Fair). The memoir detailed several of the alleged abuses faced by Porter at the hands of Diddy and also implied he was involved in her death.
Diddy and Porter’s children and many of the couple’s friends and family have come out and denounced the memoir as fake. Their children put out a statement, implying that all accounts were fictitious and Porter’s death was purely related to her health.
