NBC viewers reported frustrating issues with the broadcast of the Baltimore Ravens-Kansas City Chiefs game.
Audio levels appeared to be off on Peacock, the network’s streaming platform, during Thursday’s 2024 NFL season curtain-raiser.

The volume was low when the game was on, forcing viewers to turn it up if they wanted to hear Mike Tirico and Cris Colinsworth’s commentary.
But during commercial breaks, the broadcast was annoyingly loud.
NFL fans begged NBC to fix the technical issue.
“Am I the only one that has their volume going down after each commercial when watching on @peacock,” one wrote.
“Any other Peacock users hating the gigantic difference in volume between the game and commercials?” another asked.
“Hey @peacock! Fix your audio issues. You have to turn the #NFLKickoff game’s volume waaaaay up to hear it,” a third said.
“Then, during commercial breaks, I’m pretty sure people 2 blocks away can hear my TV. Wtf!?”
And one wrote, “The volume issues on this @peacock broadcast of the Ravens/Chiefs game are horrible; commercials are blasting and the game itself is incredibly quiet…
“Can someone there or @NBCSports address this and the other million tweets talking about the same problem?”
Both NFL fans and players dealt with some issues on Thursday night.
The Ravens struggled to keep their offensive line intact at the start of the game.
Baltimore received three illegal formation penalties on the opening drive.
NFL legend Jason Kelce emphasized the officiating crew’s diligence in calling the incorrect alignment.
“Man they are not messing around with these tackles alignments,” Kelce posted on X.

“And to be fair, [Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie] Stanley is still too far back!”
Another NFL great, JJ Watt, had similar thoughts.
“Offensive linemen are going to hate that they are finally calling that penalty,” Watt wrote.
“Defensive linemen are going to love it.”
The Ravens still managed to score a touchdown on that drive, though.
But they held the lead for just a few minutes as Xavier Worthy found the end zone five plays after the Chiefs offense took the field.
