Moment pop sensation SZA shows off incredible gymnastics skills as she trains with Simone Biles ahead of Paris Olympics

POP star SZA aspired to become a gymnast before she traded the high beam for high notes.

And the Grammy Award-winner showed she has not lost her gymnastics skills while training with Simone Biles ahead of the Paris Olympics.

In a now viral video, SZA – whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe – and Biles performed impressive beam dismounts together.

The pair launched off of parallel beams into a pile of red foam blocks to huge smiles afterwards

SZA is just really that multi talented gal and we love her for that,” one fan said.

“SZA is such an awesome human being I was so nervous for her beautiful head though I can’t even lie,” another fan said.

The pair also recently took part in a two-minute spot for NBC Sports, in which SZA traveled to Biles’ training headquarters in Spring, Texas.

“It’s my dream to talk to you,” SZA said in the video.

“I was so hyped… because you’re like my wildest dream.”

The duo also discussed SZA’s journey from gymnastics to music.

In 2013, the singer revealed she trained in gymnastics for 13 years and once considered a future in the sport.

“I directed all my attention to it. I did really well in sports and was captain of my team,” she told Complex

SZA, who is best known for hit songs like Kill Bill and Snooze, added that she was once “5th in the nation as a gymnast.”

“I was very connected to it, to the growth. Learning new skills, being in the theater that I have in my body,” she told NYLON

Once SZA realized she’d never make it to the Olympics, she decided to quit the sport.

“I just started caring about boys and other things. I think, before, I was very compelled by mystery, and I’m motivated by curiosity, and seeing how far things can go,” she added.

“But one does have to weigh in probability. And if I can’t win, then I don’t play.”

She told Biles: “When it was clear to me that I wasn’t going to be a national gymnast, I was like ‘OK, let me see what I can do or what else I can be good at’.”

SZA showed she still has not lost her gymnastics skills by practicing handstands with Biles.

“That was so good,” said Biles.

“That was so difficult,” SZA added.

Meanwhile, NFL star Jonathan Owens beamed with pride as he watched Biles – his wife – secure her spot at the Olympics last week.

The most decorated gymnast in history will join Team USA in Paris this summer.

Owens, 28, joined the standing ovation after the four-time gold medalist’s floor routine.

“We going to Paris. Man I’m so proud,” the Chicago Bears safety wrote on Instagram after watching her in action.

Biles’ score of 117.225 put her ahead of Sunisa Lee and Jordan Chiles.

Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, Joscelyn Roberson, and Leanne Wong will all also be on the squad.
