The whole world was waiting for some intergalactic action in Star Wars Outlaws. The highly anticipated title has recently been released on August 30, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Windows.
However, things didn’t go the way they were supposed to. Set in the Star Wars universe between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Outlaws was destined to be the best game of this long-hailed franchise. However, a game-breaking bug has come across to shatter all the expectations.
You Can Not Save Your Progress in Star Wars Outlaws
Recently, a fan shared his bitter experience with a strange bug in Star Wars Outlaws. According to him, this bug doesn’t let you save any moments in the game. Generally, you cannot save a game while you are in combat. However, due to the bug, the game thinks you are in combat all the time, which is why the player cann’t save their progress at all.
Cannot save while in combat…when not in combat

He stated that he was exploring Toshara and wanted to save, as his last autosave was 40 minutes ago, so his progress from that point of autosave might have been lost.
So, he went on to do that, but the game stated he was still in some combat. Luckily, he was on the main quest line; hence, the game saved a checkpoint. However, this issue still persisted even after the checkpoint save.
On the other hand, another fan thinks this is not a bug; this was done deliberately by the developers. Because of this, players have to continue on a forced mission back to back until they are halfway finished with Toshara before they can make a manual save. In case you are able to recover from the bug, you can now checkout these tips to master combat and stealth in the game.
Another Star Wars Outlaws Bug That Wrecked Havoc Among the PlayStation 5 Users
This was not the only bug that players had to deal with. PlayStation 5 players who bought the Gold or Ultimate Edition might have reconsidered their decisions. The early access version of the game on PlayStation 5 had a ground-breaking bug where players had been left stranded above Toshara.
Even after spending some significant time in the orbit, players couldn’t find the prompt to land. That means they were literally stuck at a certain point. This issue was not fixed even by fast-traveling to the East African Savanna-inspired planet, as none of the player ships and The Trailblazer appeared in port.
Later on, Ubisoft contacted every affected player with an email, stating that patch 1.000.002 was rolled out to avoid that bug. That means players will have to start their journey all over again from the beginning, as the old saved files would be incompatible with that version of the game.
The publishing company also warned the players that if they still chose to rely on the prior save files, then the same issue and progression blockers will persist. To sum up in a sentence, all those players who spent extra money on higher editions to play the game 72 hours before its actual loss will now be on the same page as the standard users.
