“I am just wired for war”: Elon Musk Has Skipped Birthday Parties and Multi-Million Dollar Business Meetings to Play One Game

Elon Musk is a man with many faces. One day, you might find him as the man behind Tesla, SpaceX, and the now-owner of X. On other days, you might find him as the goof who enjoys just about everything pop culture and entertainment-related.

Most days, however, you might find him stuck on his phone playing a sweet little mobile title that he might as well have skipped many of his most important engagements for. It’s a game so dear to him that some have even used it as a window into Musk’s fascinating brain.

Elon Musk’s Favorite Game Is The Battle of Polytopia

For a man who cannot get his Elden Ring inventory right, it’s interesting how Polytopia has captured his attention and even become his favorite game in the process.

Despite the man’s usual high-tech adventures, though, it’s somewhat wholesome how his choice reflects a love for simplicity—not only that but also a love for challenges with simple outcomes, all while claiming:

“I am just wired for war, basically.”

Delving deeper into what people think informs us about him, much like his approach to business, Elon Musk is at his best in environments where he can strategize, take quick action, and dominate the competition.

He seems to enjoy games in which victory comes not from years of study but from aggressive, decisive moves, which is also quite baffling considering how much he enjoyed Elden Ring.

Now, whether or not over-analyzing the man based on one tiny part of his life is the best choice is a bit questionable at best, but one thing is for sure – Polytopia is a neat and casual game that can become addictive quite quickly.

Developed by indie studio Midjiwan, it’s a fascinating title in which players manage resources, expand empires, and crush opponents while leading a tribe of their choice. All of this operates on procedurally generated maps.

It sounds simple on paper, but make no mistake—The Battle of Polytopia is a solid game. While it may not be as complex or as worthy of being someone’s favorite game as Musk claims, it’s an undeniably fun experience that is definitely deserving of your attention.

If You’re Into Strategy Games, You Need to Give Polytopia a Try

If you’re a fan of strategy games that won’t suck the soul out of your very being, in that case, Polytopia is most certainly worth a look, as the game’s core appeal lies in its accessibility.

Although it is simply enough that anyone can pick up on its mechanics, it can also be a competently complex time. With each session taking less than an hour, you’re tasked with exploring and clearing new terrain, upgrading your cities, and of course, wiping out enemy tribes to be the one and only ruler of them all.

The community especially recommends it for players who are into titles like Advance Wars, as the mobile game has a few things in common with Advance Wars without feeling remarkably similar or stale.

Even if you’re not a die-hard strategy gamer, Polytopia has something to offer. Its bright, minimalist art style is easy on the eyes, and the challenge of figuring out optimal strategies for each tribe can make you come back for more.

With all that said, what are your thoughts on this? Would you like to give The Battle of Polytopia a try? Let us know in the comments below.
