GMFB hosts make Super Bowl predictions with two backing Kansas City Chiefs but Kyle Brandt is mocked for his AFC pick

THE Good Morning Football crew’s predictions for the Super Bowl LIX champions are now set in stone.

The NFL Network stars took to the air from Los Angeles on Thursday morning, where one by one, they dramatically revealed their choices.

And the segment got off to a dramatic start thanks to Kyle Brandt.

Kicking things off, Brandt took a seat next to the big screen showing the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills‘ logos.

He then subtly teased his pick by quoting avid Lions fan Eminem‘s song “Lose Yourself” before unzipping his hoodie to show his Detroit jersey underneath.

“Western New York, I love you, you will have your day. But this is the Lions year,” Brandt declared.

As for Jamie Erdahl, she singled out the Green Bay Packers to face the Baltimore Ravens in New Orleans.

She predicted that “Lamar Jackson will get his first Super Bowl win next February,” she stated of the Ravens star as she revealed her Baltimore jersey.

Peter Schrager, who has correctly predicted the last four champions, followed Erdahl, agreeing that the Packers would win the NFC crown to join the Kansas City Chiefs at the Superdome.

Just as Brandt and Erdahl had done, he too unzipped his hoodie to reveal a jersey – that of the Chiefs.

But perhaps the best reveal of the day came thanks to Akbar Gbajabiamila who also picked the Chiefs to travel to Louisiana.

However, he foresees them taking on the Lions.

In arguably the most dramatic moment of the segment, Gbajabiamila ripped apart his sweater to reveal the Chiefs jersey underneath.

Unsurprisingly, the team’s predictions divided viewers of the show on the whole.

But it seems it was Brandt’s prediction that shocked fans the most.

“Kyle is drunk…. The Bills!????” one tweeted.

“The Bills aren’t going that far lol,” said a second.

“Predicting a Lions Super Bowl is clownish,” a third commented.

While a fourth added, “Kyle has never been accurate lol.”

The 2024 NFL season is finally set to kick off on Thursday night when the Chiefs host the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:20pm ET on NBC.

It will also be available on streaming-based services Fubo, NFL+, Peacock, and YouTube TV.
