With EastEnders’ Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) currently locked up for a murder she didn’t commit, her fiancé Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is currently leading the campaign to have her released.

But as the real culprit of wife Debbie Colwell’s death, Reiss is also hiding an almighty secret – one that threatens to come spilling out next week.

Reiss looks set to spill his guts to Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) next week, as she continues to try and manipulate him, believing him to be guilty.

Bianca has been on the warpath since returning to Walford last week, and after exploding at Reiss during Debbie’s memorial at The Vic, she’s changed tactic to playing nice in the hope of getting closer to truth.

She makes a series of discoveries after moving back in with Reiss at No. 25 in forthcoming scenes, first sneaking a look at a letter he’s been clutching that contains some surprising details.

Later at Debbie’s will reading, Bianca listens in to Debbie’s final wishes being read out to Reiss and her parents Brenda and Hugh Collins (Nichola McAuliffe and Michael Bertenshaw), which contain a shock demand.

Armed with new information, Bianca steals a microphone from Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), planning to ply Reiss with alcohol and solicit a confession – and Reiss soon starts to open up…

‘It’s a risky plan, but she’s willing to do whatever it takes to get his confession,’ says actress Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca.

‘She believes that getting him drunk might be the thing that starts him talking, and maybe he’ll trip up and accidentally reveal his true colours.’

Will Bianca finally manage to get the proof she needs that Reiss killed Debbie and free Sonia from her prison hell?

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 30 September at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
