Drivers rave over $1.25 Dollar Tree car fluid that’s essential for maintenance – Walmart’s version costs 60% more

Drivers praised the dollar brand’s low-cost SMB Power Steering Fluid.

A power steering fluid is a liquid that enables smooth and easy steering.

It reduces friction in the steering mechanism, making it easier for drivers to turn the wheel.

Keeping the fluid at the proper levels helps prevent wear on the power steering pump and ensures the system operates efficiently.

Dollar Tree’s steering fluid option is only $1.25 for a 10-fluid-ounce bottle.

Several other box stores, including Walmart, have larger bottles for prices ranging from $3.66 to $27.

However, Dollar Tree’s option has a lower unit price.

Drivers raved after using their bottle, giving the product 4.3 out of five stars in eight product reviews.

Some owners said the dollar store fluid is yellow to translucent.

They suggested drivers check their owner’s manual before using the product under a car’s hood.

“I have a heck of a leak that needs to be addressed, but at $1 buck a pop, I’ve just worked it into my budget rather than get the leak fixed,” one reviewer said.

“I have only found one Dollar Tree that sells this, and fortunately, I live near it, so I just shelf-sweep as soon as I get to the aisle.”

Mechanics have been warning about the importance of a car’s steering fluid.

They’re one of the five primary fluids drivers might find leaking out of the engine’s bay.

Dollar Tree pricing

Despite the name of the store, Dollar Tree recently added items that cost more than $1 to its inventory.

Most items at the store cost no more than $1.25, but items in the Dollar Tree Plus section cost up to $5.

Dollar Tree introduced Plus aisles to 100 locations in 2019 as part of an effort to diversify its products.

By 2022, Dollar Tree had added the items to over 1,500 locations.

“We believe testing additional price points above $1 for Dollar Tree products will enable us over time to expand our assortments, introduce new products and meet more of our customers’ everyday needs,” president and CEO Michael Witynski said in a statement.

“Our brand promise is that customers get great value for what they spend at Dollar Tree. We will continue to be fiercely protective of that promise, regardless of the price point.”

DOLLAR CAR

The U.S. Sun has spotted several Dollar Tree cost-cutters that car owners are quickly sweeping off the shelves.

Drivers raved about a pack of three cleaning brushes that keep their interiors and wheels clean.

The customers said they grab the cleaners in bulk whenever they see them on store shelves.

Other drivers loved this interior “protectant.”

The same product is available at other big-box stores, but Dollar Tree’s unit price is cheaper.

The interior cleaner is perfect for any small car because of the bottle’s size.
