THE Cleveland Browns have announced some major changes to their broadcasting lineup ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
Since 1999, Jim Donovan has been the voice of the Browns Radio Network.

However, Donovan recently announced that he would be stepping away from the broadcast booth as he focuses all of his attention on battling cancer.
Filling his seat for the 2024 season will be former NFL Network and Sunday Ticket host, Andrew Siciliano.
“I’m honored for the opportunity, but wish the circumstances were different,” Siciliano stated.
He added that news of Donovan’s retirement left him “stunned,” calling the long-time announcer “an icon,” “an amazing man, and an indelible part of this community.”
Siciliano, himself a Browns fan, recalled having listened closely to Donovan’s calls during his tenure.
“If I was at home, I would sync the radio feed to the TV,” he said.
“If I was working, and I was usually working, I would scour the internet looking for Jim’s calls.
“No big game or big play or great moment was complete without his voice.
“I am flattered, and I am grateful to the Browns for giving me this amazing opportunity. It is a humbling honor. Jim’s an icon.”
Siciliano joins the Browns broadcast team having filled in for Donovan on three occasions last season.
But his experience in the booth goes far beyond those select games.
Siciliano has previously called preseason games for the Los Angeles Rams on numerous occasions, while last season, he also worked as a play-by-play announcer during NBC’s coverage of the Big Ten.
However, most NFL fans will likely know him for his eight-year tenure as the host of NFL Sunday Ticket Red Zone as well as being the long-time host of NFL Total Access.
Siciliano signed off as the host of Red Zone in January 2023 after YouTube TV bought the rights to Sunday Ticket.
In a major shakeup for NFL Network, after 13 years, Siciliano was let go in April 2024.

Before purchasing tickets on resale websites check pricing as they are third-party sellers and, importantly, the cost can vary depending on demand. You may pay more than an official ticket, though you can also get good last-minute deals too.
But if you can’t be there in person, don’t worry, there’s still time to set up your stream before the season starts.
You can also keep up to date with the latest NFL coverage right here at The U.S. Sun.
“I got a call in 2011. Could you host for 2 hours? It turned into 13 years. Thank you @nflnetwork for a great run,” Siciliano tweeted in response to his departure.
“Thank you to every @NFL fan.
“It’s been an honor. I can’t wait to write the next chapter.”
Thankfully for Siciliano, he’s had a busy summer since leaving the network, covering the Paris Olympics for NBC Sports.
This marked his third Olympic Games with NBC, having also covered the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.
His first game as Cleveland’s full-time announcer will see him call the Dallas Cowboys‘ visit to Ohio on Sunday, September 8.
