Gladiators star Falcon left staggering amount in her will after dying last year aged 59
GLADIATORS star Falcon left a huge sum in her will following her death aged 59 last year.
Bernadette Hunt became a favourite on the obstacle course game show after training as a ballerina and an aerobics teacher.
The all-round gladiator sadly passed away after a long cancer battle in March last year.
She left nearly £300,000 to her family in her will, probate documents have revealed.
She left £444,000 in her estate, reduced to £293,000 once debts and costs were removed.
The huge sum, and the star’s property and possessions, were split between her son Adam and young daughter Angel.
Hunt, of Ely, Cambs, asked to be cremated at a private family service.
Family members said that she had been battling cancer for years before she died.
The ex-champion bodybuilder fell into TV by mistake after an injury stopped her from taking a place at the London Contemporary Ballet School.
She won Miss Natural Health and Miss London before telly execs signed her up for Gladiators in 1993.
Given the stage name Falcon, Hunt became one of the most feared opponents for contestants trying to win the £10k top prize.
Hunt starred in the ITV hit – drawing in millions of viewers a week – until 1999.
After quitting the show she became a personal trainer, holding classes at a gym in her hometown of Basingstoke, Hants.
The aerobics expert turned down the chance to appear in Sky’s 2008 Gladiators series reboot, deciding to “keep a low profile” instead.
The legend married and became a mother-of-two while continuing to keep active.
She was also a top fundraiser for charity groups Help the Aged and Children with Leukaemia.
The show led tributes after her death, writing: “Many fans will remember Falcon as the most lovely, warm, generous person with a beaming smile.”

Forgotten Man Utd academy star returns to first-team training after 21 YEARS at the age of 36 following 600-game career
A FORGOTTEN Manchester United academy ace has returned to train with the club 21 YEARS after he left.
The 36-year-old never turned out for the Red Devils‘ first-team as he was deemed too small.
Tommy Rowe left Old Trafford in 2003 after one year in the academy as he joined Stockport County.
The winger went on to enjoy a successful career in the English Football League.
He made 601 appearances for seven different clubs, including Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers.
His best season came in 2016/17, as he netted 13 times for Doncaster in League Two.
Rowe has now become the latest former Man United player to link up with the Under-21s.
However, has now been pictured training with the first-team squad.
He followed in the footsteps of Tom Huddlestone and Paul McShane, who also held player-coach roles, but has gone one further by joining Erik ten Hag‘s squad for a session.
Huddlestone made 24 appearances for the U21s before he left the club in the summer.

The club completed the deal to bring in the former academy player back in September.
Rowe has already made six appearances for the U21s in the Premier League 2 as well as one in the EFL Trophy.
During his career, he reached the championship but played up and down the English leagues.
Rowe enjoyed play-off success from League Two with Stockport as well as League One play-off and Football League trophy victories with the Posh.
He has insisted that he is keen to remain in the sport for the next five decades.
He told the Yorkshire Post in 2023: “I am asked questions about how long my career is and it is never defined. It’s how I see it tomorrow.
“It would destroy me if someone said I came into training and didn’t care. That would be when I ended my career.
“Because I know until this point that I have done all I can do to put things right.
“Whatever success is to everyone else is probably not the same version that I see for myself.
“I have aspirations of being in football for the next forty or fifty years.
“So I can’t actually stop playing football as football has an ongoing appeal and will stay in my mind forever.
“I don’t even think about retirement at any point. I just keep going. I have got that clear in mind.”
Virgin Media warns customers of four dangerous scam tricks putting users at risk – how to spot the red flags
SURFING the web has never been so confusing – can you trust that link a pal just sent you? Or the website URL in an email you have received?
It feels like scammers are lurking around every corner, just waiting for us to trip up.
Cyber crooks will often create copycats of legitimate services to harvest victims’ personal information or financial details[/caption] Fraudsters may also try to mimic the broadband company with fake links to dodgy websites[/caption]Fortunately, Virgin Media has issued fresh advice to Wi-Fi customers to help us avoid falling victim to internet-based scams.
Cyber crooks will often create copycats of legitimate services to harvest victims’ personal information or financial details.
Malicious clones of WhatsApp or cybersecurity platform McAfee can crop up from time to time.
But fraudsters may also try to mimic the broadband company with fake links to dodgy websites.
According to Gareth Lister, Virgin Media’s connectivity chief, there are four signs to spot a dodgy site masquerading as Virgin Media:
- “Lookalike” characters from non-Latin character sets, for example virginmediạ.com
- Typos that evade a quick glance, i.e. Sales.virgenmedia.com
- Links with lots of extra info at the end such as Virginmedia.com.brlb.ru
- Different top level domain “.xyz” is not the same as “.com” i.e. virginmedia.xyz”
“Be extra vigilant before clicking links in emails and check URLs you connect to,” said Lister.
“This will help ensure it is taking you to a legitimate source.”
He added: “If you spot any of the warning signs… report the email and don’t click on any links.”
Lister also urged customers against using unknown guest Wi-Fi networks, such as those in libraries or train stations.
In September, 19 train stations including London Euston, Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street all had their Wi-Fi services suspended after the public network was hacked to spread a terror message.
“Just as you would with personal interactions, apply the principle of ‘stranger danger’ when thinking about who and what you connect your phone to,” explained Lister, even if it is tempting to connect.
“Connecting to unfamiliar networks can leave users vulnerable to cyberattacks.”
Instead, aim to use secure networks like your home or hotel – or use your mobile data.
This can be expensive while travelling abroad.
However, Virgin Media O2 offers EU roaming at no extra cost even after Brexit.
