The game is set during the Fourth Tyrannic War and focuses heavily on its combat and gunplay and players need to master it if they want to be the ultimate warrior. These Space Marine combat tips will help players excel at it.
9. Do Not Let Enemies Get Much Closer
The combat in Space Marine 2 is brutal and it feels great but at times could backfire if players are not ready and do not focus. There is a lot of close combat and players need to take some enemies out before they reach.
Players must shoot at enemies trying to come close to them before they are surrounded by the hordes to kill some and also weakening many so they are easy to take down.
8. Use Grenades
Grenades are very useful to take out hordes of lower-level enemies and damage others. There are two main type of grenades in Space Marine 2, Frag grenades and Krak grenades, and players should use them frequently.
Frag grenades are best against hordes of enemies and will take down lower-level threats. Krak grenades are much beneficial against bigger single-target enemies and are best suited to be used against the main bosses.
7. Heavy Weapons Are Optional and Don’t Replace Other Weapons
There are many missions where players need to use heavy weapons to take out some high-level threats. It is to be noted that the heavy weapons don’t replace the loadout and you have other weapons while you use heavy weapons.

There are many weapons in the game that players will have at their disposal but it is important to choose the best ones. Players should use both melee and ranged weapons and select the ones that would be right into their loadout.
Players can carry one main weapon at a time so that it becomes important to pick ones that suit their playstyle. Some of the best melee weapons are energy axe and hammer and ranged weapons are Las Kanon and Plasma Weapon.
5. Don’t Waste Time on Kill Animations
It is fun to see killing enemies in cinematic animations but it may not be a good choice at all times and should be used only when necessary. This is because players are vulnerable during the animations and can take damage.
Other enemies can come closer and deal enough damage to kill players during the kill animation. Players should only use the animation when other enemies are at a safe distance and can not inflict damage soon.
4. Choose Fire Modes Wisely
The two fire modes, Aiming and Hip-Fire are both equally important but the key is to knowing when to use which mode. The Aiming mode allows players to target enemies precisely from a distance and Hip-Fire is for close combat.
Using Hip-Fire players can shoot enemies rapidly but it is inaccurate so you may also miss many times. Players are advised to try out both modes with their weapons and see what they like and which one suits their playstyle.
3. Time Your Executions
When players execute weakened enemies with finisher moves that flash red, they are granted I-Frames or Invincibility Frames. This grant players an ability when players can not take damage and comes in handy when surrounded by enemies.
These invincibility frames when used give players their armor back and then can also be used to cancel incoming damage. However, the ability is for only a few seconds and then Space Marine 2 players are back to square one.
2. Use Rage Regularly
Players have a ‘Rage’ ability and it is recommended that they use it regularly. This ability when in use regains players’ health slowly as they go through killing enemies and increases the damage that they deal in melee combat.
The ability also allow players to shoot enemies in slow mo and it is advised to be used, not just for fun, but when the shield is depleted and there will be more Orks. This ability could be a life saver for many players at times.

There are many missions in Space Marine 2 that players need to successfully complete and they are rewarded with a resource called Requisition. These are used to buy new weapons and other heraldry options.
These will be helpful as players will come across several kinds of enemies and need to upgrade their weapons. These will come in handy in the long term for players.
